Re: Air America Files Chapter 11, but I thought....

Perhap's the greatest enemy we all face is the very thing we all hold so dear...........the freedom of thought.........and that is what our enemy's are all exposing us to, that is how frail a thought is, and yet how volitale it can be, one can hold on to a ideal and die for it, but it could aid the wrong forces in the end.
In the interm they ( our all enemy) stand for one ideal, and they will lie cheat steal, and ohhh yes kill without ant dicrimation as long as we continue to sprial inwards and downwards on a debate that center's along purist idiology, which i agree is comendable.

Air was a feeble attempt to get a word or ideal out............................ but let know one forget it was a american thought no matter how feeble or illworked they were not our enemy ..........someone else is and it's time we all get past our own feeble feeling's and get behind this country.......if we all dont do that .........god help us all......................................

I think it will be hard for PW to catch rush in a lie.Mostly because,in order to be able to lie, you have to make a factual statement as opposed to voicing an opinion,
But I will put the lie to 2 of his statements.
1 For a time he called himself "Doctor Democracy".He is not a doctor.
2 He claims to be "the center for advanced conservative studies".
He runs a talk show not a research center.
I can surely find many very out of context statements.,which Rush often uses to further his own purpose, but which have nothing to do with the intent of the speaker who is quoted.
These however are technically not lies.

If Rush wasnt in the center, then you would not follow your orders to hate him. You probably wouldnt know he existed. He runs a talk show AND a research center.

Websters II ( copy right 1984 )

Research - 1. Scientific or scholarly investigation. 2. Close , careful study.

Doctor - 2. to repair in a haphazard way. 4. to modify or alter for a desired end.

Looks like Rush understands the enlish language pretty well. Not bad for a College drop out! (snide lol's)8)

Oddjob, You are correct 18 years of showtime. This guy is not the leader of anything, he is a showman, no different than a plaid coat barker at the carnival.

He has hit on point in some instances but I hear people say he is 100% on point which is ad naseum. He is an entertainer just like Archie and Meathead only using a different format.

However, we recognized them as entertainers while this spew of divisionary venom is hidden as an "intellutual guru of the highest degree" all by self imposition.

Crusty, several examples of misinformation if not total lies have been pointed out. Fact, many would accept it if he called a while wall black.

Odd, Sounds like you and Rush and Bill are all from the same school of thought. Rush research center, Rush doctor, you agree, Bill I did not have sexual relations with that woman. All are true just use the dictionary.

Shame on you, Odd, I did not know you supported Bill.

crunch read the thread and you will even see some of the points supported by Oddjob.

I can not take up anything about Rush because I do not listen to either side when they are totally closed minded. That is what makes me liberal, as I define it, being able to listen to the issues, examine the pros and cons and make my own decision on right and wrong based on my own convictions and understandings.

Odd job,I admit ,the way you describe doctor, describes Rush.
I repeat: To repair in a haphazard way.To modify or alter for a desired end.
This is exactly how Rush doctors democracy.
Next time you open the dictionary, make sure about the meaning of "verb"

Re: Air America Files Chapter 11, but I thought....

In my opinion this is a lie made by Rush,im sure his supporters on this board will disagree but here is my facts to back up my claim.

In late September of 2003 while Rush was a commentator for ESPN, Rush stated that McNabb was overrated as a quarterback because the media wanted to see a black quarterback succeed.

Here is a list of his qualifications prior to that statement.cut and paste from.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Donovan_McNabb

#2002-2003

One of the most decorated athletes in Syracuse University history, he was a four-year starter at quarterback and a reserve on the school's nationally ranked basketball team.

On the gridiron he was named the Big East Conference's offensive player of the decade (1990s) and of the year an unprecedented three times from 1996-98, as well as the first-team all-conference vote earner in each of his four seasons.

Later, he was named to the Syracuse All-Century Football team. He also played basketball there, playing as a key reserve in the Orangemen's (now it's called Orange) Final Four team back in 1996, where they lost to the Kentucky Wildcats in the championship game.

2000
In his first full season as a NFL starter in 2000, McNabb finished second in the Associated Press MVP voting (24-11) to St. Louis RB Marshall Faulk, who set the NFL record for most TDs scored in a season.

2001
Earned his second trip to the Pro Bowl (was originally elected as an alternate) following the 2001 season after combining for 3,715 yards of total offense and establishing career highs in TD passes (25) and QB rating (84.3).

2002-2003
In week 11 of the 2002 season, McNabb was injured. On the third play of the game, His injury was reported to be a sprained ankle, but X-rays after the game revealed that it was a broken ankle. During the game, however McNabb In one of the best passing games of his career, he was 20 of 25 passing, with 255 yards and 4 touchdowns.

So let’s hear why this isn’t a boldface lie that Rush got fired, for.

Not the Rush that was in the process of having had his lawyer pay his housekeeper $80,000 in back pay and $100,000 to destroy computer emails.

His contempt, disdain, and scorn for such “low-life” people was his badge of conservative, Republican self-righteousness.
At the vary least he is a hypocrite, in addition to being a liar.

Comment - 1. A statement of observation , analysis, or criticism. 2. an expression of opinion.

Oddjob, Before you totally sell out to Rush, remember Howard Stern has a huge audience to his talk show, as does Pat Robertson, Larry Falwell, and others.

Oddjob, I just got one from one of my friends who is a diehard Rush listener. He tells me that in error Rush denied the drug charges as a liberal media attack on his person. His later explanation was he understood they meant he was using cocaine.

Hey PW.. WAKE UP!!
You're confirming conservative ideology by your silence, regardless of how you try to spin it later.
After all, TX and treedance can't keep up this front with any credibility much longer.

a. (stāt"ĕd) 1. Settled; established; fixed.

In my universe when someone states something it can also be a lie or distortion. As in [Rush [stated] that McNabb was overrated as a quarterback because the media wanted to see a black quarterback succeed.]

Maybe in your universe when someone makes a comment like that, its not considered a lie,in mine it counts as a lie, maybe its a regional thing.

Hows he doing without him?

Guess we Forgot that [Mcnabb ] led Philly to three NFC title games without defenses rolling their coverage’s to T.O. Forgot that McNabb entered the season first among active QBs and second all time in both career touchdown-to-interception ratio and lowest interception percentage. Forgot that he is, really, just entering the prime of his career. That and Philly is, what 4-2? Not to shabby for a token ehh…

No just making general comments about Rush, it seems that this troll /thread started wobbling on the rails at about the middle of the first page, when you totally derailed it; it now seems to have a life of its own.

So based on this line of "reasoning" what would you call a person who called the economy in 2002, the worst since Herbert Hoover?

Oh yea, a liar.

This whole arguement is absurd.
