Pretty sure it is not compatible with your motor. The "type 1" PTT systems were in use until (I think) the early 80's.
These are the parts you need, but if you look long enough you can find a complete set for MUCH less.

I bought mine a few years ago as part of a whole motor for $300. Powerhead was blown but the PTT and lower unit were in great shape. Nice thing about buying the full motor was that all of the needed mounting hardware was "included".
