Wear good personal protection equipment fiberglass dust is very bad for your lungs.
Youโ€™re a patient man I did a partial job like this on my โ€˜88 Four Winns about 15 years ago but never again. Was it worth it, yes but once inside the tyvec suit was enough for meโ€ฆ

Well......after calming down, I got to work ordering what I needed.
I found the lever(good price) and the pin(expensive), but all needed, so I was able to get them at least being OMG.
I also found that for some reason, my new lower shift cable is binding, so pulling the drive again, lol.
The other thing I noticed yesterday is that my ESA doesn't seem to be working. I tested the limit switches and work as they should, I believe (one is NO and one NC). When checking continuity after the ESA module, I don't have any change in state, but that is for a later date., also I will look a bit deeper into the lower unit but I plan on getting a replacement so I just need it to last this year BUT I am hoping its because of the shift cable.
I also have a line on a much less worn controller but first things first ๐Ÿ˜Š
The better news is that the carpet is on its way!

The carpet arrived today and the color match is exact with my bad eyes ๐Ÿ˜‰ but the weight has to be no less than double the original.
I also received the shift levers (gave me 2). The other items should be here Mondayish.
I also have my eyes on a couple units for the sterndrive, hopefully news upcoming.

If anyone is interested in my carpet source please PM me, this is thanks to the @todhunter .
I hope to remove the drive this weekend in preparation for the other parts.

Well since I had to pull the drive to replace the lower cable I thought well I might as well install my oil drain, believe me I really didn't feel like taking these steps backwards but oh well.
I will end up putting a lock on the valve so it doesn't open accidentally and a 3/8" barb so I run a hose out the drin into a catch can.
I also wanted to mention that with a lined up drive it slides right out with no binding so if you have trouble you know it's misaligned and you know what needs to be done ๐Ÿ˜Š

I installed the new lower cable, shift arm and pin which really made shifting smooth and easy. I did find that the other new cable had something wrong internally which was causing alot of my adjusting issues, it still took alot of time and patience due to the slop in the controller and lower unit but I am satisfied with the results. I had one setback while doing this, I had to pull the engine again because with the bend the cable has to make due to the engine it wouldn't make the bend in the hose it runs through.
I had to sacrifice one of my wrenches to get at the fitting for the lower cable by the bellows.
I am going to take a guess that the wear on the controller and probably lower unit are due to a long overdue lower shift cable replacement.

Well they say April showers bring May flowers but what does April snow bring? Ugh
I feel fortunate though because just north of me they had up to 16".

Hi all,
Giving an update.
I installed the wiring harness I made for the bilge pump and blower as well as the fuel sending unit and all are functional.
New bilge pump hose, vent hose, fuel filler hose and speedometer pickup installed.
I hope to pump on the rebuilt carb and cleanup some of the wiring (the best I can for now) this week and maybe next weekend try to start her with it.
Down to the small things which can drive one nuts even with a list lol.
I hope to start making some patterns for the carpet soon so I can configure the best usage.
I'm waiting on my registration to come back so it'll all be legal and we spoke to the owner of the property on Lake George and said just let him know when I want to bring her up for a test drive.
All in all things seem to be coming together ๐Ÿคž

What a beautiful day, long time in coming!
All mechanicals and wiring are finished, still need to go over the trailer but should be minor compared to everything else ๐Ÿ˜†.
I may or may not start the templates today, just satisfying to be at this point.
