The carpet came out so nice I'm not sure I want to use it to go fishing! Lol

I bought the male stud snap screws but couldn't bring myself to drill into the floor so I ordered some ykk snards from salerite. Basically a sticky back stud snap.

I'm going to wait to see how the snards hold up before I return the old fashioned tried and true stainless stud snap screws

I fabbed up a set of 'rocket launcher' type pole holders that are adjustable angle and mounted two on each side of my windshield. The poles can either lean back like the windshield or in the more upright position shown, angle just ahead of the bimini top. Only issue I have with them is if you get in a hurry and grab a pole out of one, it can catch and pull the other pole out making for a possible splash with some $$. I tend to be careful after coming close to losing a pole that way.

That's a nifty set up Rick, my youngest nephew (9 years old) wants to come salmon fishing with me, and for him I thought about maybe attaching a string from the but of his pole, to like a rail or one of my doc fenders just in case, I'll see how he does without it first, his older brother 19 at the time dropped his iPhone in the water we thought he was gonna jump in after it lol! That must have been some text message!

I have 2 Scotty flush mounts in the back, 2 in the middle sides and two up front, and 2 side mounts in the middle side, i use all the mounts for whatever i need at the time, rod holders, fender holders, or bait table, the thing I'm making for the swim platform is to keep unused rods out the boat, or for when moving to a different location, I'm thinking 1.5 inch pvc, all of my rods should fit except for Godzilla! A humongous surf casting rod id never take on the boat anyway, im shooting for 9 or 10 rods

My son Tyler, when he got his very first cell phone, proceeded to pull it out of his pocket and drop it while sitting in the front seat of our raft while fishing in a high mountain lake. Plop. and a few bubbles, there it went. Poor guy. I was pretty easy on him even if I don't let him forget.

That's almost exactly how my nephew dropped his, pulling it out to check a message and slipped right off his finger tips ohhhh he got teased that day "hey andrew.... the fish are watching YouTube on your phone!" " andrew switched from the family plan to the manity plan!" Lol

Yes. I used to build and repair horse trailers. Welding aluminum is a piece of cake. I sell them on CL now and then for some extra cash.

For a long time I've been threatening to find a cheap used aluminum welder or maybe just buy some braising rods and a torch just to fool around

Beautiful job Goldie !! You put a lot of time, effort and money into it, and it shows. Great inspiration.

I think your new carb will do the trick. Years ago I had a Chevy 350 with the same symptoms. Started right up. Idled nice, but the minute you leaned on the throttle it sputtered like crazy. After a couple of weeks scratching my head, replacing parts, cleaning the carb, timing, I was no better off than when I started.

I decided to pull the carb one more time. I had it on the bench just looking at it and started playing with the power piston. It didn't seem to move much. It did when I put it together the time before. So I pulled it out with the metering rods still attached and cleaned the power piston. Put it all back together one more time and it ran so smooth I couldn't believe it.

Best Of Luck To Ya !!
