You werent holding up the show i have plenty to do Im currently tabbingWow! I didn't realize I was holdin up the show!!! Sorry bout dat!!! Here it is but... It does take a couple of days!!!! This stuff really works well. and will seal the wood especially Douglass Fir. It soaks deep into the wood and the solids in the BLO expands when it dries and then the Marine Varnish seals over the top. Very effective. However I recommend two days dry time after the last coat. If you seal the Cleats and the top of the stringers with this formula I really don't see the need for CSM or any other Capping material but If you want to you could scuff the top and lay a layer of resin and CSM on top of the Cleats and stringers to finish em off. Totally up to you.. The products displayed are totally for illustration purposes, any brands will work the same.
Yo wood i might be in trouble  this is a photo of my ski locker, only difference is it currently has two tabs of 1708 and one layer of 1.5 CSM, are you saying i should a add a bulkhead towards the bow? (where the stringers get short and pointy). If so, would that bulkhead sit on the edge of the drainage cover piece? If the Rags are still wet and piled in a pile in a hot closed in place, Yup they can spontaneously combust (Catch Fire!!!) I'd reccomend putting letting them dry as best as possible and then putting them in a plastic bag and then adding some cold soapy water and tieing, sealing the bag
Yup bulkhead across the front of the ski locker and I'd put cleats around the ski locker too and make it so that fancy Teak cover would fit nice and flush. 2 layers of CSM should so the trick..
Kinda like this...
