i agree summers hear lets do this i just thought of a great place to go for this outing. It's were a lot of groups go great place got a beach bathrooms if needed. also in a cove. Fogland beach tiverton ri that i think would be a great place. you can come in right from the ocean or come in on the sakonnet river. great place to go i went there last weekend when there was the barrigton sailing club there.
So when and where is this gonna be? I am busy off and on for the rest of July and most of August but I would like to show up if this fits my schedule. Maybe my kids will have a party the night before like they did last year and I can bring the left over jello shots again.
I've been by Fogland.... it's nice and protected. Third Beach on Sachuest Point isn't bad either but the Sakonnet can get rough sometimes so smaller boats need to check the forcast. I'm up for anything but this thread looks like it lost it's drive to do this. I'm out there every weekend so if you decide on a date I'll be there....
well my sailboat is on the mooring ready to go any were on the sakkonet river. my power boat will be a mooring within the next week or so and that i'll take up to narraganset bay. i think fogland would be the best. it does get a pit rough at times but just listen to the weather.
ok so saturday i'm pretty sure i will be out on my boat lil red just hail lil red on the vhf on channel 9 and i'll respond and go to fogland if any one want to go there and hang for the day or a little bit It's not like i can do much on my boat i can't cook food or any thing so i won't be there long .
so i'm guessing new England not good enough to get together? whats up lets do this fogland lets do it i can get there early and hold a spot but i need know ppl will come or at least one person
Last years get together seemed to work out better. It was planned many months in advance though. The problem with getting people together is location. It's going to be a long drive for at least a few people, no matter where you go, and that makes it tough.
