Both sides glassed now with one 10 oz layer and epoxy. I also have one layer of 17 oz and then one layer of 10 oz covering the seat bases. I think it came out nice and basically everything is sealed now from a couple inches up on the hull sides all the way down to the lockers and bilge.

Nice job working the 'glass around those bases! Very smooth!

I was not sure if it would lay down properly, but it did after fiddling with it for awhile. I slightly rounded the top corner which helped. The 17 oz "bias" conforms pretty well.... The 10 oz woven took some massaging and it was larger diameter to overlap the 17 oz by a couple inches.

The deck surface looks/feels really nice with the 10 oz weave pattern.... "Almost" makes me want to just paint it with 2 part urethane and skip the carpet. I did order my carpet yesterday so the plan is to paint the floor in the rear of the boat where it is covered by the engine cover/sundeck and the rear bench seat. (wet life jackets , tubes, etc will be stored back there so I see no reason to recarpet that area) Forward of that will be khaki carpet that matches my hull side existing carpet. Still need to figure out how to trim/finish the edges where I cut the original carpet along the hull to deck line. Will probably cut and glue the new carpet to go up the sides of the hull about two inches then let the old carpet on the hull sides hang down over it. Most of the joint is hidden by seats and storage trays, but a small bit of it will be visible.

Drilled pilot holes thru new 3/4" riser and about half way into 1/2" deck. Ran screws in with base installed to cut threads. Removed screws and drilled oversize hole about 5/8 deep then wetted out holes and reinstalled silicone sprayed screws to final depth. Filled oversized hole around screw with syringe of epoxy. After overnight cure, removed screws and sanded riser smooth. Came out great and will never allow water into decking again!

Also trimmed overhanging deck glass then applied last coat of epoxy to top of stringers and deck joint. She is water tight now!

Pulled old carpet off then sanded and glassed fuel tank and ski locker covers this morning. Beefing up glass at bow eye this afternoon and then I think I will be ready to vacuum and then wash/rinse down entire boat interior in preparation for paint and reassembly. The end is in sight..... Super happy to be done with fiberglass grinding!

Fiberglass at bow eye was wallowed out a bit and needed some strengthening. First I made a new outer plate out of stainless steel to cover the chipped gelcoat, then I taped it in place over the holes being careful to seal the edges. I then used my fingers to glop some raw epoxy from the inside of the hull to the holes to flood and pot the new stainless cover in place.

Next I used my fingers to pack in some thickened epoxy to the uneven wallowed out back side and then applied about 10 layers of pre-wetted 17 oz biax filler strips and then about 6 larger 17 oz pre-wetted patches over the area. All of this glassing/epoxy work was done blind reaching up under lip.

This morning I removed the tape from the outside and drilled up through the resulting 1" of new reinforcement for my new 3/8" bow eye u-bolt. It should be very solid now and the exterior should clean/buff out nicely.

Big milestone for me last night.... Finally was able to completely wash out all of the white powder/dust that was clinging to every square inch of the boat for the last several months. I also sprayed the side carpet with Resolve carpet cleaner and my power washer made it look nearly new again. My engine looks black again! Tonight I will paint the lockers, bilge and rear floor area. NO MORE FIBERGLASS DUST!!!!!!

Painted the bilge, ski locker and the entire floor with some left over Nason Fulthane using a roller. About 3 coats. Carpet also showed up today on a FedEx truck! Probably will carpet the front half but leave the rear under seat storage areas bare paint.

Was a little concerned that my fuel tank might not fit after replacing the stringer.... No worries, went in nice and snug with new foam tape applied. Also installed a new trim pump reservoir as the old one leaked. Hopefully will get a bunch more done this holiday weekend.
