Here is what the new boat manufacturers are doing with a lot of their boats. Not sure if you could make it work for a kneeboard, but I'm sure you could fab something up. I was thinking of doing something like this in my boat when I get to that point. Even though we already have the tower.

https://www.mastercraft.com/teamtalk/showthread.php?t=68788

This setup is for the ski boats, where the engine is in the center or if there is an access to the port or starboard sides. On most of the older roundabouts the storage of the wakeboards on the lake is done on the wakeboard towers, in storage in the central storage compartment. But I betcha with TRH299's creativity, he can find the place to put them. :) Great job with the swim platform, also I would have moved the supports further away from the outdrive. Even if it does not touch it on the run, they might be in a way when doing maintenance.

I wanted through bolts/nuts to hold the lower brackets on vs lags or wood screws. Hard to explain, but where I put them is the only place I could get nuts on the back side without digging into my new deck/floor. I do not trust wood screws long term. I drilled (and chamfered) the holes in the transom slightly oversize then epoxy soaked multiple coats. Once cured, I then installed the brackets using two 1/4-20 stainless bolts each loaded up with 5200 for bedding. I made sure the bolts did not turn while tightening the nuts on the inside.... It wont leak and it is very strong. If I want to remove the braces, it is simply a 3/8 bolt on each bracket to remove the lower heim joints. Would take less than 2 minutes yet leaves my sealed bracket to transom connection undisturbed and water tight.

Picture below shows 3/8 stainless bolt (it has a stainless locknut on other side of bracket). Picture was taken during test fit prior to bedding in Satan's glue (3M 5200).

Great design buddy, you definitely thought it through!

My extended family and I had a great 7 days at a rented house on Lake Jimmerson/Lake James in Indiana. Swim platform was a hit. I got to try my Radar Theory waterski (it was a bit rough, but I popped right up each time and the ski felt solid). Boat sat in the water the whole time and there is not even a drop of water in the bilge.

Taught my 5 year old grandson to ski on my 40+ year old kid's skis that I learned on years ago. I did a quicky restoration on them right before our trip to make them look kind of like my Radar ski along with adding a spreader bar.... Well he at least skied along the beach with me running and pulling him in 1 foot of water. Next time we will go for the deep water start.

Not much work being done this summer on the boat..... Just been using it. No issues, but boat needs new graphics/striping at some point as the old mettalic brown and gold is showing it's age. Thinking about going with black stripes graphics, but not sure yet. This past weekend the family wanted to have "family pictures" taken using the boat as a "prop". Had the stern weighted down pretty good for this picture. lol

Nice pic! I believe with the energy those little ones have - you could probably get it on plane if they just keep kicking....

This is what this forum is all about in my opinion! Family, and fun in the sun! Jealous of you being out on the water! But you deserve it, such a good restore.

Hey guys.... been awhile. The Larson worked great this past summer. With the crazy rainy weather we have had this year, I have yet to put it in the water. Still need to re pin stripe it and put my foam pad on my swim platform.

We bought a camper last summer to put on the local river to have a spot to hang out with a dock and the boat, but there are no open spots to be had..... So... I decided to buy a wrecked diesel pusher motorcoach so we could pull the boat with us for weekend trips.

For those who enjoy projects... here is a link to a forum I am posting my project on. http://www.irv2.com/forums/f115/just-purchased-wrecked-2004-camelot-pdq-big-project-444980.html

I also am trying my hand at documenting it on Youtube (a work in progress... lol)

This means my motorhome project is suffering a bit of a delay. lol They bought themselves a 2005 Glastron GX 205. It has been in my shop now for nearly a week as I showed them how to clean it up and fix a bunch of issues. The gelcoat was pretty faded in spots so I showed my son-in-law how to buff and now it is looking pretty good. I soldered up a broken trim sender wires, am replacing a broken wheel lug, will be epoxying some stripped screw holes and replacing some broken snaps. It made for a busy "father's day" weekend, but I think my daughter has a greater appreciation now for how to restore value to something through some basic skills and hard work.
