No actual work to boat but picked this up to help with the sanding. I have a friend that does hvac so I am going to have him make me a filter box

Good idea. I'm looking into soda blasting like the corvette guys do on larger areas. The older I get, the lazier I get!

Jc I hear you on the lazier part I'm trying to figure out how to grind while laying down LOL. Can you soda blast instead of grinding? Yeah last year When I started grinding in my garage I didn't cover anything there is still fiberglass dust all over my garage.
So this time I'm covering and going to try this dust collector.

I don't think soda blasting will take the place of grinding away old tabbing, but on my son's boat, I want to add an extra layer of 1708 to the entire inside of the hull and don't want to grind the glass that's there thinner or at all...lol. Looking to clean up the expanses that don't get tabbing.

So I am trying to make a material list and I read wog link .I plan on going with epoxy and wog recommends 17 oz cloth. Would that be db170 from us composites .

Have you looked into Infinity Composites in Ashtabula for the cloth to save on shipping? I bought a huge honking roll there and picked it up.

This is a picture of the front stringer they were only tabbed in no filler between them and the hull. Also in some spots they were up off the hull about a inch PC310007_zps54d85446.jpg

Excellent idea on those jigs. Your stringer height is gonna be perfect! I noticed the angles cut for the hull. Maybe you can teach me how to do crown molding, lol.

Thats a whole bunch of stringers ! Good deal on the stringer jigs .. You could run a screw down through the top of the stringers to keep em vertical while ya bed and tab them in ..

Make some of the others so they incorporate some of the small bulkheads. Or modify the ones you have. Then you have double use. I like the idea.
BTW Happy New Year to you and All.
