Took the trim tabs apart today and got them cleaned up. Wet sanded with 1000 grit.

This really needs to be done every season for a smooth planing surface and smooth operation. Still love my Nauticus trim tabs!!:D

I will stick with the wet sanding on the stainless, its quick and shines like a dime. The tabs just like my prop, get this baked on stuff that is definately hard to get clean with cleaning products. The hull I usually don't have an issue.

I am really curious on wether I get a couple mph or not, some believe that the friction/drag is broken up by having bottom paint on a boat, making it actually faster than without. I do not really beleive that mith, but we will see. ;)

Love the work you've done on your boat. Wow!!! You gave me some great ideas on lighting once I have a deck again. Have you started the cuddy yet? That will be next winters project for me. Again, looking to see how everything comes out.

I will have video, photos, etc. Have alot to look forward to when I put her in the water. :D Suppose to be almost 80 degrees here next week. I have to work and need to finish everything before dewinterizing.

Thankyou, just trying to get everything cleaned up.

By the looks of your work, I would say your motivated, just one thing at a time. Eventually it all comes together:)

Thanks man and welcome aboard.:) The cuddy was put on hold so I could get other projects done. I can finish that while using the boat in the spring. I am hoping to get back at it in a few weeks. But for now, focused on the bottom refurb and the walkaround lighting.

Got a couple hours in today on the bottom. Finished sanding and compounding the port side bow to front rollers.

Really starting to come together. All the areas already done are blending with the work being done. I see the light at the end of the tunnel, and its not leds, lol

Budd i was just about to suggest that you repaint the bottom with latex and throw some wood chips on her, so you can get a baseline for the speed test, and then you posted the baseline.
man i was thinkin of slideing on a computer at work just to post it. too late. (kept me smiling all day tho)
