I don't have one but gonna add one on ya see.

im going to use same windlass i used on other boat its actually a pontoon small windlass with 100 ft of rope on it , a 13 lb anchor I modified it and cut that front piece off since i have a pulpit .

Boat pic prior looks GREAT lit up! I always wondered why people didn't use those pontoon windlass? There so less expensive.

for a bay boat or ICW, lakes and under 25 ft i think they work great, ocean, guess it depends those sunfish style boats with huge sides might have more wind issues .

Getting close and looking good Micky ….. Up north here some of us will actually use a boat in 60 degree weather but I suppose you will be waiting till it hits 80 for a splash???

Actually no, when its done , i will splash regardless of temps :) i just don't want to splash early then never get the little stuff done, so forcing myself to hold out, its splash able right now but then id have stuff to finish ... i have upolstery left and a list of about ten things to complete then of course cleaning the beast:)

For some of us, I'm not sure they're ever really done.

Pretty easy to splash regardless of temps when yours only go down to 50 :D. We already had some skim ice on our lake so my eventual splash will be regardless of temps ….. unless it is snowing or if the lake is iced over. Boat is looking real good BTW.

It’s a wet cold down here when it does get cold .. I absolutely hate the cold .. Can’t put on enough layers . I would rather sweat than freeze any day ! 🥶
