Update for today.....while soldering the pl259 connector, noticed one of the ceiling panels dropped in the center.....phuck.....

Add it to the list. The panels were held with Velcro and screws, the center screw may have pulled out. The Velcro failed.... Going to adress with some 3M adhesive.

Pulled the T-stat elbow to check the filter screen prior to the HC, only a few little grains of rust. Thats fantastic news as the last trip was 22 miles without incident.

Been raining here every day. Hoping for good weather this coming weekend.

with all the rain we have had because someone got twin hurricanes in the 2020 bingo......(I had severed head found in St. Pete - but that is another joke)

could not take the boat out. even if the weather was good, could not get the boat from the back yard.......Admiral got the riding lawnmower stuck in the back yard....... when you walk in the back, you sink down about 2"

so we have been cutting back Florida flora with hatches....axes....and saws.....(yes, Rush reference)

then burning it in between rain storms with large quantities of E-10 89 octane

pulled the set of B8's this past weekend and installed the B6's just to run until i get a set of B7's....... with a bunch of people the hole shot suffers with the B8's as that is slightly too much prop for the current carb setup. Buddy and his wife were supposed to join us. His wife bailed and so did our stepson.

idled from the boat ramp, around the oyster beds and under the over-pass..... as soon as i was out of the no-wake zone..... mashed the throttle.....instant on-plane and next thing I knew I was spinning 5700 RPM before I backed off the throttle ...... that is about the limit of airflow thru the carb with only 715 CFM......

need a set of B7's and a bigger carb. However if a bunch of people want to go skiing all at once...... we're set...

put about 50 miles on the boat between idling along in the no-wake zones and a couple of WOT runs from no-wake to about 50mph.... Have almost 10 hours on the motor.

with a bunch of people on the swim platform, the scuppers start to leak into the boat with waves. not enough to trip the bilge pump, however enough for me to notice when I pulled the plug at the ramp.........on the list to add seacocks

Dang, where is concrete ramps when you need them

The concrete goes only about 10 feet back, then its rocks, gravel, muck and shells. About 5 feet deep where the power loaders props are...... Then there is a spoil mound about 2 feet deep as you back up

Not to mention they run about $1700 a set vs $550 for aluminum.

Can get these repaired at General Propeller

working on the last cushion. this is the one that sits over the motor. I added 3 drink holders and a flip over filler cushion.

decided to go with gel vs vinyl because of the abuse

first, a thickened layer of gel to fill the imperfections. I had mixed this up to fill a few screw holes I did not use in the cabin and to fix a chip in the hull

tonight I buff the fiberglass and the stainless strip that will hold the filler cushion.
