Let us know how that Behr paint works out after curing. The price is right if it sticks well. Based on what it's designed for, it'd be hard to believe it wouldn't stick.

Will do, so far, so good...in our case, its epoxy over epoxy so it should stick well...and at 30 bux a gallon, i can do everthing under the decks i have access to, except the engine compartment, that gets polyurethane. Its not too glossy either. One thing is for sure, it sticks great to human skin!

What are you going to use for heat?

Yes cant wait till next spring to get the Mate on the water……..Little intimidated on the redo of the interior tho……but ill work thru it

HA, being a city boy myself, that would have been my description as well....but since ive moved here, the general lack of checks and balances by neighbors/authorities seems to render most anything i do here as ummmm "normal" :D

Im hoping the clear plastic wrap provided some heat on sunny days, i also have some space heaters as supplimentals..but im mainly concerned with rain/snow, as i have to remove alot of items that will expose the cabin to weather, under my current leaky tarp.

I suppose a wood stove would definately cross the "hillbilly hovel" threshold lol

Hey Zool, what part of jersey are you located? I grew up in Bergen county, work in Bridgewater, currently live on the tiny island nation of staten (not my choice-don't ask) but moving back to joisey next summer. Good to know there's a local boat restoration junkie like me on here... Let me know If you ever need a hand with anything. :)

Looks like you have a nice country place there........Thats what i need...but the better half wanted a suburb home so the kids had someone to play with....Geees!...that was 16 yrs ago and now i want the land/room to do what you are doing. Some Day!

Watch those space heaters....i had a little instance last winter were i pluged in 2 heaters and 1 clamp light into a 3 way extension cord....went in the house for an half hour or so to let it warm up....walked in the garage door and...seen nothing but a cloud of smoke and it smelt like burt rubber... WTH ...got lucky and the breaker triped on the panel. Melted the whole cord and caught fire.....but the heaters were still good. Im one lucky sole that i didnt burn my garage/boat and car down.... Dont tell anyone that i let the cat outa the bag

Morral of the story....use seperate plug in's for each heater with a GFCI plug.
