Thanks for the kind words. With the days getting longer and warmer, I'm hoping to get back to working on it so I can finish it up! Getting it splashed in November was a good feeling.Hi Tod, I have been away for a while and needed to go back several pages to get caught up with your progress. Wow, just wow. Congrats on the splash and thanks for sharing such a great project with the rest of us!
Thanks man! It seems like yesterday I was pulling rotten wood out of the hull. I owe a bunch to this forum and a few YouTube channels for giving me the knowledge and confidence to tackle this myself. I'm watching your thread too.I can now say that I've read your thread start to finish... Fantastic build. Hella inspirational, and - as with so many of the other shared stories here - a fantastic tutorial on how to go about doing many of the small projects that together comprise a high-quality restoration.
Here's to you getting to enjoy it a ton in the coming boating season, and for many more thereafter.
Thanks! They are gonna make the trailer look so bad, haha. Hoping to paint it this summer.Oh, I like them!
Yup I need to get 4 new tires also. Where did you end up getting them?
Maroon for the trailer. It's currently a combination if maroon and rust, lol. What color are you thinking of for the trailer?
Those wheels will go great with your color combination on the boat.

If it was originally galvanized, what are you going to use to clean, etch it?Maroon for the trailer. It's currently a combination if maroon and rust, lol.
I do luv my Amazon card. Thank you TodAmazon. They are American Racing brand.
Haven't thought about it being galvanized and needing special treatment. I was just going to clean up the rusty areas, sand the rest, prime, and paint. Is this not how it's done?If it was originally galvanized, what are you going to use to clean, etch it?
