I have been a foam forming door, everything in my garage is covered in green dust lol. Just have the dog house left to get foamed. Picking up my Cuddy cushions this evening and dropping off some more to get covered in vinyl. I'll post some photos once I get them.

Well boat progress has slowed since I am waiting on someone else to sew my vinyl. But I didn't let my time go to complete waste. My patio bar/ out door kitchen I built 2 years ago needed a face lift. The concrete counter top had stain and a stamp texture that started to chip so I blasted it clean, home Depot had these great slate tile on clearance for 24 cents a piece so I got 50 sq ft for 20 bucks and tiled the bar top. Trimmed the area for my flat top and grill with 1.5 inch aluminum angle and the slit vent hole for my smoker fell right on a grout line so got a little slit for smoke to escape. Old top was terracotta stain and slate stamp texture.

Well hello all! It has been almost a year since i last updated you on this project. It is still moving forward just slowly. The upholstery has been slowly getting done. I just out the last piece, the engine cover. I am hoping it will be back in a couple weeks. I am starting final assembly! Getting things bolted in and finishing touches done. It needs a good cleaning and then paint touchups will happen. Hopefully i will be posting all of that over the next month.

The engine cover will be covered with the back Carbon Fiber vinyl. The seems are done with pink thread.

few updates being spread over a few posts. The first I added a quick disconnect panel for the cables running through my wakeboard tower for the lights and speakers. I purchased the plugs and bulk head connectors from Amazon. The large black ones are for the speakers, I used the same type at the speakers them selves a few years back and work great, they push in twist and lock. I always just ran the cable through small holes in the boat never giving thought to what if I need to remove the tower now that wont be an issue. The smaller metal one in the center runs the 12V and ground needed for my 3 different color LED lights built into the speaker box. I 3D printed the mounting plate for them, sanded it down and painted it with high gloss black.

I made a removable floor matt, I am not sure how well its going to hold up. I wasn't able to find a source for the backing in wanted for the matt. I really wanted like an 1/8inch thick rubber backing that was smooth on both sides but all I could find had different grip patterns on them like Dimond plate so I went with these rubber gym floor tiles, I glued them together and then topped with EVA. I will have to do some more digging to get a better backing because the finished product is heavy as all get out and it kinda kills my desire of wanting a floor matt i can remove easily for cleaning and when I am useing the boat for dirty activities like fishing.

I found that my original pedestals for my seats are dramatically lower then what I made the rest of the seats so instead of spending $150+ on new higher ones (the prices for them are ridiculous) I took some measurements and found metal tubbing that fit perfectly in the tube of the pedestal allowing me to bring the seats up to 18 inches. I put several coats of paint on them before inserting them and then used some clear silicone to seal them so no water can make its way down between the 2 pipes.

I had to 3D print new plastic spacers for the seats, the original ones inner diameter was too big and would not grip well on the new poles. I dont have an image of them, but I think I will need to tweak the design a little, they fit good but they don't allow the seat to swivel very easy because the coupling attached to the seat tappers on the inside so it pinches the pole too tight now. They will work for now though until I have the new design tweaked right and printed.

I used 1/2 inch marine ply to make the swim deck. I cut down a 8x4 sheet and then laminated them together giving me a 8ft by 24inch by 1 inch thick base. I cut into my desired shape. I added some slots in it to be used as handles for the latter to make getting up on it easier. I mirrored it on each side so it looked better.

I drilled 4 2.75inch holes in the middle as drink holders, I used 1/2in wide aluminum flat stock I bent up as the base of the drink holders. they are just screwed into the bottom of the deck. They are 1 inch deep plus the 1 inch thickness of the deck so the drink holders are 2 inches deep. Plenty deep to prevent spilt beers while sitting at the sand bar or beach when waves rock the boat or the random jet skies buzzes.

The bottom has a cut in for each pole since my supports are metal tube with the ends flattened. This leaves a hump that would interfere with the surface if kept flat.

I fiber glassed the underside with chop strand matt and the top with cloth to give it a smoother top. I died the resin black with a small amount of acrylic paint. I did alot of research and found that method has been used along time in the craft world when working with poly resin. I did this so that when the swim deck ultimately gets scratched and dinged by wakeboards and other things it doesn't chip paint leaving a noticeably different color mark. It made wetting the glass out a little difficult to see the bubbles and had a small effect on cure time but not much. I then gave it a coat of black paint and clear coat.

I then used the last of my EVA matt to cover it. I am not sure how well the EVA will hold up to the abuse but it wont be hard to remove, sand the top and put on a different material.
