Should I have drain holes in the stringers? I know I've seen some posts on different ways to do it but my search tonight is not working out very well. If someone knows the best way to do it I'm all ears!

Yes I was planning on it. The company I have been working with for all my fiberglass and resign makes the warrior boat line from Minnesota. They said I could just bring the boat there and they will pour the foam in and charge me accordingly. I suppose that will just fill the holes right up? And I was also told by them if I don't have enough holes in the deck the foam could blow a hole right out of the side of the boat.

There are plenty of examples of how to foam your boat, right here on the forum if you do a search you'll find em. Since you will be foaming the weep holes are moot. Drainage on a foamed hull is impractical, IMHO, and not needed. But again that's just an Old Dumb Okies, opinion. It's your boat and your decision. Do as you see fit.;)

Thanks WOG! I've been trying to talk myself out of the weep holes anyway. I would think they would do more damage then good in the long run. I will do some more research tonight on foaming the hull. In the meantime I'm going to cut the floor and add some fiberglass to a couple areas. Its been a longtime coming to get this thing splashed by fall!!

No Title

Hope everyone had a good July 4th!? I stole my Dads boat for the weekend so I was good!! Ok so I have all the pieces cut and fit for the floor. I only have this picture for now but I will post a pic tomorrow with all of them. I plan on pulling them all out and glassing the bottoms. How many layers are recommended? How many layers for the top? I was thinking doing one for the bottom and two for the top. Open for suggestions. Thanks!

Nope I've been trying to use the Share Photo tab top left of the msg box. The only ones that seem to work are the ones I add as an attachment. But the pictures are just uploaded from my hard drive. I also receive error msg's saying "there was an error and site staff has been notified" every time I hit "post reply." Must be a lot of bugs on the forum?

The guys at the shop cut my fiberglass wrong. I didn't know until I was getting ready to glass the floor. Seeing it is just the bottom of the deck I will just splice it in.

JR, I think you'll have better luck posting pics if you open a free photobucket account and then use the IMG code to post your pics.

Ok so I edited posts numbers 78, 79, 80, 87, 90, and 91. If the pics are working you should let me know. I may just go back through all my pictures and fix the whole posts so ppl have an idea of what I've been talking about.

Anyway, I glued the floor in this weekend using PB

I set the top cap back on last night and it is a little off up front. I wanted to make sure it was close before I tabbed and glassed the floor completely in. I'm still thinking of a way to get it all lined up. I have some ratchet straps around the whole hull and cap trying to bring the two together. I was thinking if I could get it close I would be able to tab small pieces in and hope it doesn't fall back apart. It makes it a little difficult because of the livewell and storage compartment are in the way. I will try and snap a couple pics tomorrow.

Ok so I have the floor all glassed in and foamed. I will add some photos soon but in the meantime, what is the best way to hold the top cap to the bottom? It was originally stapled all the way around and then the rub rail went over the top. I don't have any kind of staple gun to do that. Just wondering if anyone else ran into the same problem? Thanks for the help!

Ok so it has been awhile since I've posted anything on here. I have been working on the boat so I want to get caught up on here. Below are some pics of the deck after it was foamed and glassed.
