Hey fellas, thanks a bunch! Yah, she's a pretty nice ride overall. I could see some wierdo glasser type guy take that boat and try to rebuild her:rolleyes::boink:

So far, from what I have seen, the hull itself seems pretty solid. Seats n' stuff are trashed. Windshield looks great. It's got some electronics in there and a nice fuel tank. Lots of rails and fittings. The trailer is due for some tires and paint but it's a really nice solid set up.

The engine looks great overall, we'll see how she does if/when I put her through the paces. I do think it'll be a good match for this 261 even though she's obviously much bigger. I'm guessing these two boats might be pretty close in weight anyway. Here's a comparison shot for ya...

My good buddy races cars and rebuilds engines. When I was talking with him about this 350 he kinda got wild eyed and immediately was pushing Vortec Heads, Intake and all sorts of other upgrades. He was talking 300hp, and then he was talking 400hp! I was like dood, easy now, what the heck would I do with all that!

I dunno, so long as the engine is otta the boat, I might just take him up on it:becky:

Ha! Matter of fact, that's that plan at the moment! I think I may even try to convince my brother to jump on a tube and let me drag him around! Tubing in November:laugh:

don't let him go too wild... vortech heads n intake are good but a radical cam with wet exhaust is a recipe for disaster...
you want really good lobe separation... think school bus cam...

In Michigan no less...is your whole family a little "off"?

How about that steering wheel?

Yah man, rebuild, beefing it up some might be fine. Beyond that, nothing scary, no reason, no need, that's for sure.

Yah man, we like to party:party:

Hey, so here's what I'm thinking on that Sea Ray....

I do believe I'll try and sell that boat whole, for cheap. If it sells, everything will stay with it. If I don't get any takers she'll get parted out and hauled otta here. If she gets hauled, that steering wheel would certainly be up for grabs and you can have it:thumb:

i don't see any issue unloading that Sea Ray either! It seems like a nice looking, modern boat just needs some TLC and a new motor and outdrive!

That might be the nicest "donor boat" I have ever seen.

Like that V8... should motor the "tenement on water" along nicely...

Yep!

And probably in better shape then many of the glass boats headed into the iboats dry dock.........

The boys don't want a pirate ship 1/2 buried out in the back 40? It's fiberglass, it'll last forever

Have a great long boat building weekend!

It would require oversize permits every time it leaves home.

I think that is unfinished new construction,..........

I think he is basing the price on the price of scrap,...............
