My mother was from Selinsgrove, so I'm familiar with Scrapple, and am a big fan. And nice job, now I've got a hankerin' ...

Not sure what would make a Philly hoagie, but that one of mine was turkey, lettuce, tomato, olive, hot peppers on an 'everything' roll, with a light smear of mayo. Usually they'd use Italian dressing, but I don't like mine soggy.

And who the hell eats fries with mayo?? I'm close enough to Canada to use malt vinegar and salt though sometimes. :)

So, the last few days have involved prep and priming of the outdrive. A little spot putty:

A little blocking:

And some priming:

Maybe I'll get out there to put a coat of enamel on there today.

And I broke out my virgin HVLP gun this afternoon, and shot the outdrive. Hard to tell in this pic because the sun was over my shoulder and quite low, but it did a very nice job. Nearly no orange peel at all. Looks like it came out of a rattle can:

No goofing off and lots of work... I like that!;)

Outdrive looks real good, will look better hanging off the transom with a prop on it.:thumb:

And even better, half submerged, churning water with a wake behind it!

Nope no will do. But any way, I knew alot of NY'ers who dipped there chips in mayo. And that movie by Tom Hanks I think it was called Forest Gump, Not Philadelphia. That one was called Jersey.lol. Paint job looks great also.

I see your issue now. That menu is all New York City. The rest of New York State thinks they're not quite right :)

It's more ivory than original, but it's not stark white either. It's a Rustoleum enamel. I may regret that choice in a year. If so, I'll paint it again. Til then, it looks good.

yea, maybe, the original wasn't exactly pure white either..the Rusto is pretty tuff stuff on metal, if it fails, it will probably be the primer..but you could just sand and spot repair what lets go...

Have you checked to see if the seals are still good?, clean oil is a good indicator..pressure testing is better...

The oil was darker but free of water or metalic sheen. I ought to pressure test it, yes.

There is virtually no play between the input and output shafts while in gear, so the unscientific test seems to be positive.
