As with some mechanics, stopping by may add to the Cost of Completion

Maybe you could get an IT professional to hook up a webcam, then post it's address here so we can all watch  Anytime 24-7

That would be cool, but I'd get nothing done at work for two weeks...

Don, he's going to consult his paint rep, but the bottom will prolly get an industrial enamel, and the rest a two part base/clear coat.

Yeah, I can't wait either!

I had my day made by this place:
EVINRUDE Outboard Decals | GarzonStudio.com
I don't know how I hadn't seen them before but I thought I was not going to be able to keep my motor original looking. The have some 1985 decals on their site that are very similiar (different HP). I sent an email at 2:45 with a couple pics of my motor hood. In less than 10 minutes I get a call from a guy who says "yeah we can make that", "send us pics and measurements, no prob.". That's service!

I'll tell you, all these places that make decals and logos are amazing! I read more and more about different ones that can make just about anything and have excellent service. Good score on that!

Stopped by the boat today to grab the motor hood to take some decal measurements. He's got the sides almost stripped down bare using chemical stripper. He first thought to just scuff it but said he felt better taking it all off, didn't want to chance the old paint causing probs. He said it should be all stripped tomorrow.

Your paint shop dude is doing an excellent job on cleaning and preping your hull.

Hopefully he is patching the dents and dings with something water resistant, not BONDO!! Nice progress though!

Ugh, cleaning and organizing the garage is not my idea of fun, to much stuff and not enough room. I need a boat to put all this stuff on....

He did this piece so I could check the color, very bright & shiny, I like it!! It's 2006 Pontiac Red, and the white will be GM truck white.

Boat is stripped, in the booth, and just hanging waiting to pull out the trailer. The bottom was glass beaded (mixed with water I guess) and quit rough. He's liking it for adhesion reasons. He even hammer and dollied a few small dents and skimmed them with filler. It looks real straight down the sides. As it sits now:

I'm geeked. Be done by Friday, but he might keep it over the weekend for curing before setting it back on the trailer.

Thanks! It looks a little orange-ish on my phone, but in person it looks just red.
