Coat two done. That's going to be it. I used marine ply and doesn't seem to soak up a ton. It really looked pretty good after one. Yeah, these pics are getting boring, I know, kind of like Mags 5 million pics of self etch primer! LOL

So, does anyone know if I should scuff up the second coat before the carpet goes down? If so, would a DA sander work good? My belt sander is pretty aggressive, wouldn't want to accidentally burn through...

Starboard rubrail and caps on. Also added all the wiring hangers under the starboard gunnel.

I got a random orbital sander today and used it on the corner caps. Then took a coarse sanding sponge to them. Came out pretty good considering how much time I spent on them, which wasn't much.

Also, I posted some trailer questions in the trailer forum if anyone cares to see.

I would not worry about any ruff and sruff unless you have any rough spots that might rub thru the new carpet.
On the other hand it wouldn't hurt to go over the deck with the DA. I would think the glue would stick well either way.
Looks good on the corner caps.

That's great DJ, looking forward to seeing her in her new cloths so to speak. Trim and rub rail look real nice as well.

Well she's all packed up and ready to roll tomorrow afternoon. Hope I didn't forget to do something! I have this fear that I forgot to do something major.

Hassle Jas, so you don't spend the whole time thinking: 'I wonder what got done today over at XYZ Painting' :D

Brilliant plan!

DJ I've been loosely following you're build. What kind of paint are you using, 2 part automotive? Sorry if I missed it. In addition to hassling Jas you can spend the next two weeks bringing me up to speed on your build. lol

I've been in and out and I've got a lot of catching up to do on all the builds. I finally caught up on jasoutside's Sea Nymph build. I dare not go into the Islander build. Very scary, I'd have to give up Dancing with the Stars, America's got Talent, The Voice, Keeping up with the Kardashians..... way to steep of a price.

Yeah, I'm already wondering how many days I can go before "stopping by".
