Sorry, I lied. Scheduled to drop off at the painter Monday Nov.5 now, so just past next week! Gives me 2 weekends to tie up a lot of loose ends and maybe get the motor mounted to get painted as well.

Went back to work tonight for a few hours to play with some machines. Boring a perfect slip fit hole old school. This will be part of my antanae mount.

It will make more sense tomorrow.

Must be really nice to have that type of equipment at your disposal. Some of us just use the vice and drill. :D

Got my antanae fab done. Turned out great, super beefy!

This went up under the console.

The shorter piece bolted into the gunnel channel.

All bolted in.

It took a while to figure out how I was going to seal that at the top. Finally the lightbulb came on! I'm going to cut a groove in the shaft just above and just below the gunnel skin and stretch a couple o-rings over it, will look like this. Not sure if o-rings are UV compatible, but they're cheap.

...and with the ratchet on it.

If you look close this isn't a standard ratchet configuration. I wanted my antanae to lay down flat so the only option was a rail mount. When I got it (I already had one of the tall dual pivot ones), the cam lever tightening lever wasn't "timed" right for how I wanted to use it. The lever had to be pointed past 3 or 9 o'clock to be tight which wouldn't work with how low I wanted it. After a LOT of thinking and staring at the two different mounts I figured it out. I have two handles on there. I cut one of them off short. This changes the timing of the cam so it will work the way I need it two. This mount took a ton of time and thinking but I'm happy with how it turned out.

De-greasing the engine today, yanked the TNT unit to get in there better. PO liked grease, good thing, which made disassembly easy! Also pulled off the lower covers, going to need a few new gaskets/seals.

Am I missing something? How did you levitate the motor to pull the TnT? Lotsa grease on old things is good!

I didn't lie, the skeg is on the ground (just). What's hard to see is that it's hanging from a come-a-long that's chained to a beam in the attic. The motor is back on the stand now. I was going to mount it to the boat tonight but I didn't have the 1/2" piece of plywood made to put between the motor and transom. It got the holes over drilled and filled with epoxy tonight.

I figured it was hanging. Just couldn't see what it was hanging on. ;)

Got half the deck rivets replaced with c'sunk ones. Not as bad as I thought it would be. Not doing the outer perimeter as those are behind the side panels. Oh, I'm going to go with carpet now I think. The wide vinyl is expensive and there's not many choices. The vinyl in my 14'er seems to hold dirt in all the little pattern grooves....plus vinyl is twice the cost or more.
