Nope, those platforms were steel, getting pretty rusty too. I'll likely not use those again - thinking glassed ply as a replacement at this point. Yup the tanks are looking good. I can see the manufacture date is 2000. I'll just need to figure out the best way to get all the old fuel cleaned out of em.
Yup, my little ones are right in there, shoulder to shoulder with me, screwdrivers and pliers in hand. Sure slowes me down but there is something much more important going on than just putting back together an old boat, eh

Are those seat platforms aluminum? The gas tanks look like they are in decent shape possibly.
I hear ya on having the kids help...my 4-year-old was helping me a bit today.
He says he wants to go tubing and fishing this summer(last year we just went fishing)so I try to involve him as much as possible with the resto...so he can feel the same sense of accomplishment I hope to feel
