How about painting that one with glow in the dark paint? The green paint lasts for 14 hours nowadays and it is barely visible in the daylight.

HAHAHA that would scare the catfish away!!! or maybe it would lure them to their untimely deaths.....

Either way we are still unsure if we wants flames or have it just kind of fade into the boat. I do like flames but every "bro", MMA fighter, Matco tool, ghetto rides have flames on them............. Sadly, flames just don't hold the same badass-ness that they used to with the rodders. Pepboys kinda killed the flame trend.

Ok guys, We are itchy again so you know what that means!

We finished up the trailer bunks and new rollers, and roller shafts....
TrailerBunksDone.jpg

Pushed the trailer into the garage
TrailerIngarage.jpg

Pushed the boat out onto the driveway

Then, by the power of the internet BAM!!!
BoatInDriveWay2.jpg

Ok not really, I was going to try and get pictures of our very not osha approved method of flipping it but it went off without a hitch.
6 inch lag bolt into a beam and chain to the rear of the boat, cherry picker up front, piece of carpet to reduce chafing and 3 people.

Then we installed all of our hardware,

Sadly in doing so I put the first F*^@ing scratch in the paint. Hope there is touch up.....

Re: 1975 Omega Restore, the project goes on.

Oh and I forgot to post these pictures earlier before the boat flip.

Here is our tabbed in stringer and bilge box.
Stringertabbed.jpg

BilgeTabbed.jpg

We put our final lay up of mat on the stringer tonight, but was too dark for pics and I was tired. Took a freaking gallon of resin, sooooo we may be out of money again soon.

Later this week we will wrap our deck boards in fiberglass, pour in the foam in the recessions and glass over them. Then install the front 3 deck pieces and rest the cap back on so we can mock up where our seat pedestals will be in relation to the gunwales. Then with the seat bases installed we can cut the deck for the below deck storage, and mock up our awesome rod holders!

Rod holders are a secret design for now. Prob already done but we just had a great idea one night so we willt ry it.

Damn man... That paint is like glass.

It'll be too nice to get wet. You might want to set it up on the trailer in the driveway and just have drinks in it :)

So I got this half built boat in my driveway. But "Thrillhouse700" decided he needed to help his friend remodel a house, and set the build back a week. Haha, guess it's alright.

Re: 1975 Omega Restore, the project goes on.

So we got more done today, I have been busy with another project for the last week. "LostCause" has been working on it while I have been away. He got the deck all shaped up and fitting right, got the glass on the bottom of the deck, finished up the foam on the sides of the hull, and finished the bow eye.

Today we got the front 3 deck boards in.
MixingPB.jpg

Here is me mixing up some PB.

We laid in the deck boards and drilled pilot holes and screwed them down tot he stringer with coated screws, then removed the screws and the deck boards. Then filled the hole in the stringer with 5200, and filled the hole through the deck with 5200, after that we put a bead of PL down the center of the stringer and around the holes to keep water out of that area even better.

Then we put our PB around the edges and joints of the deck, then we layed up the glass
ForwardDeckLayup.jpg

Heres us putting on the resin.
LayingUpDeck2.jpg

Deck layed up
FrontLayupDone.jpg

Here it is with the forward parts of the glass on, reason for the glass only going partially down the third deck board is because of 2 reasons...

1. We are laying up the glass staggered from the deck seems for more strength.
2. the 4th and 5th deck boards will go in AFTER the cap goes back on, we have to measure the 4th deck board back for the pedestal mounts and need the cap on to get the proper placement.

Our new HF trailer jack

And here is the awesome job that LostCause did on the bow eye layup
FrontBowEyeDone.jpg

Back to the other project for me for a few days, I'm helping my buddies parents lay wood floors in their new house so hopefully they can move in by next weekend. So I have been strapped for time. Hopefully by next week I will be back on the boat.

Looking good guys. That's going to be the coolest tri-hull around when you're done.
