good progress so far Jason. Dont happen to have your templates for your front decks still do ya? ;)

Nope cut, and remove from the boat about 50 times to get it right. There are no shortcuts but its good to dream of one.

Use a piece of the flotation foam board to make a template. Still in and out 50 times, but a heck of a lot lighter. And when you're done stuff it under the floor for it's intended purpose - flotation.

7 pm to 130am. Not too bad definitely not safe strip but 10-15 minutes to work. I used klean strip. It worked as it should and I liked that it worked fast.

Still a lot left. After a long day of sanding and polishing, I am going to paint the walls and polish the bottom.

Trust me, I'm feeling it today! My goal is to have it flipped over by the end of the day today and resting tomorrow. After that its simply painting the consoles and putting it all back together. Wish me luck!

Slowly coming along. I have decided that a mirror finish on the bottle is ubsurd and no one would see it anyway. I will lightly buff it and call it a day.

*on the very bottom. You can see where I have stopped I plan on going in a tad bit more and then just lightly buffing the center.

Some goodies came and I spent nights mixing paint in different amounts to get the right shade. I feel like Picasso

Re: 1974 starcraft 16 ft super sport

I guess I have some explaining to do. The boxes are the Nautalex and the proper glue No. 88.

As for the paint, I am trying to get the typical nautical navy blue. The one you see on nice expensive yachts! When a say expensive yacht, I am not referring to what I have in my garage waiting on me to mix my own paint! I'm Talking Bill Gates nautical blue! Do you have any mixing ratios for it? I have blue red yellow and black and I am now completely versed in different ways to create navy blue using all of those colors! I am looking to see if anyone has made this blue and how they got to it.

Thanks,

Jason

Decided that I will go all the way up the side with the polished aluminum I found that the klean strip in the spray form works 10 times better!

Sorry, this has to be the most boring build on here! This is where I am at. I was using an angle grinder to polish the sides...this was a terrible idea! bought an actual polishing wheel and what a difference! what took me an entire day only took me a few hours with the wheel! I will post pics next.
