The paint dried pretty good and I took advantage of the slightly warmer weather today for a flip and load onto the trailer.

Successful flip without any hernias

The rope tied onto the bow was to keep the boat from sliding down the hill. I'm not repeating what happened a few months ago  The only casualty was just a little cut from the gunnel.

Blood and tinnies got together like a horse and carriage - Well, you got the picture. The rope was a good idea, you avoided an unintended splash. :)

Here's my first attempt at mixing a darker blue

I started with Royal Blue from Rustoleum and added some gloss black. I went way to far with the black and made "Baby Poop Blueck"

Dang resourceful crowd we have in the Starmada but you take the cake CJ doing all that outside and on a cliff by yourself! Well almost alone, looks like some dog tracks in the snow too.

Yah I don't care so much for that shade of "blueck" either.

Blueck, yeah, not a good choice.

Suggestion, know anybody that works at Ace? They might color match the Rusto even though it's not 'their' paint.

Or you might get a color matched quart of the right blue you want in the Ace branded paint. Same stuff.

Not mine

In Forest Hills Don't know what you've got planned for the Chief's helm, but not a bad looking set, inexpensive, although used, hard to tell from the pix

Lol GA! I had a little bit of slack in the rope and it slide down a few feet :faint2: I'm renting a skid for some dirt moving next summer!

The puppy is deaf and got put inside. He's the SWMBO and is more important than me ... if he got hurt ... :fish:
That shade of "blueck" got replaced with some single stage paint from the local body shop today. It's gonna look great.

was your wife watching all that ?

Lol Joe! She would have just shook her head and gone inside to make sure the life insurance was paid up

I checked with my local Ace Hardware and True Value. Neither would mix any oil base, but would the exterior latex. So, I just went with an auto paint made by valspar.

That is an awesome gauge set for $95.

We had a little window of short sleeve weather and I was able to get a little bit more paint on.

Now I'm just watchin paint dry... I wasn't able to get the white to dry quick enough to tape off for the blue stripe. Now back to winter and our regular programming. It looks like at least another week until we have some temps above 50 degrees.

It's easy to watch paint dry when it looks good like that, CJ. :D

Paint on the gal looking nice. I believe that paint is a milestone that instills a great desire to keep reaching for the end goal.
