Do I have to add the hardener? does it help it dry faster?

The hardener adds some gloss to the Rusto, helps flowing, makes a more durable finish and yes, dry faster. Rusto can take quite a while to fully cure and adding the hardener greatly decreases the cure time. Once a batch of hardener treated Rusto is mixed, you have a max of 8 hours to use it and toss the leftovers.

You don't have to use hardener. But if you like to sit around watching paint dry................:rolleyes. If you paint with straight Rusto and let the boat sit for like a month, the results will be about the same except for the gloss.

I doubt you'll find hardener at Lowes/HD.

try TSC (Majic Catalyst Hardener)

Not the same stuff, you need the stuff for paints and after mixing you have to let it cook for 20 min before applying.

Why is it wet?

Plywood can tend to warp as it dries so get it on some stickers and put some between the sheets and keep an eye on it.

Yes, you want it to dry out before sealing. Else you'll seal in the watet, preventing water intrusion is the whole point of sealing.....

Turn an oscillating fan on the stack, it'll cut dry time in half.

Ive personally never heard of wet plywood unless it was left in the rain or its pressure treated. Like the other guys have said, its going to want to potato-chip on ya once it dries. Are both sides wet or just one?

If it's wet I would not waste my money on it as mentioned above it will turn into Pringles. Any ply I ever purchase is bone dry and would not accept anything less,
