mrdjflores,
Very nice list of supplies and parts. Looks like you are well on your way.
Look forward to following your progress.
Just curious, what color is the back light on the gages?

Hey mrdjflores,
I really like the looks of those gages too.
thanks for showing them lit up. I'm in the market for new gages and that's why I ask what the back lite color was. I want them to look cool while cruising at night. Did you get them on ebay also?
Great job.
Looking forward to more updates.
Bob

wouldn't ya know...murphy showed up....
looks like i'm going to need the lower shift cable assembly now...

quick question...my outdrive in in good shape but my gimble housing and what not are pretty corroded (pretty much everything on the outside of the transom excluding the upper and lower units of the outdrive)...Are all the pre-alpha's components (trim rams, gimble housing, outer transom flange/bracket and other items outside of the the transom) pretty much the same.

I've got a line on a nice merc120 setup and was wondering if these could be used on my merc 888??? just the parts on the outside of the transom (and using my upper and lower halves of my drive) both systems are from 1973

Re: 1973 SRV 220 OV Resto

yeah...major bummer...i looked on ebay today....STICKER SHOCK!!!!!
and trying to find one with the tilt sensor/switch in the top of the housing instead of being on the sides of the gimble ring makes it even harder...

so far...extra things i have to replace:
lower shift cable
gimble housing
gimble housing/ring pivot pin (the big fat pin at the bottom)

maybe the boat fairy will send me some old used parts in the mail
:D
