Nice work. All the latches and hardware look mil-spec. Built to last :)

Well since the weather ruined the weekend plans decided to get some more done on the project. Mounted the bilge vent covers and stern light.

After the frist trial run and having the hydraulic trim hose blew on me, I decided to make a safety device incase it happens again. Now if it happens i can at least have reverse when coming back into port.

Also figured I would throw this pic of what i use to support the sterndrive while trailing. Basicly it just a wedge shaped piece of 3/4'' plywood with a couple of wholes to string a rope in make sure it stays put.

Yes. I had no doubt you'd do a good job modifying them.
What fasteners did you use to secure the 1/2" ply under the hatch? Looks like truss heads on the underside.

Sorry it took so long to get back to you on this. Honestly, i didn't noticed it until yesterday. The plywood is held on the top side by sex bolts and the bottom is mating screws.

The tool box is done. Frist pic is of the complete tool box and a propane grill that i think is pretty cool.

Next pic is of the tool box minus the grill.

Now the tool box with the top tray removed.

Then the last one is of the end of the tray so you can see how it sits inside the toolbox.

Brig, check out the link in my signature for the brochures.

There's some photos and specs on the big cruisers in some of them.

I like that tool box/grill set up. Is that anchor light switch in the middle of the windshield? Good spot for it:)

thanks huron, I forgot all about that thread. by the way that is a really cool thread and has been very help full to me thanks for putting it up.

And yes the anchor light switch is in the middle of the windsheild. one of the guys that owned it before me mounted a cheap anchor light up there, that one of these days I will replace.

Man, you have quite the attention to detail! With your remarke that the fittings on the skiff are machined I would like to ask what do you do for a living? Also, have you ever thought about sending pictures of the skiff to Wood Boat Magazine? They would really drool over something like that.

I am trying to figure out a new top for the boat. Not very fond of the way the original top. Anyone have any interesting ideas or know of someone who made different type of top?
