I run a 90 V4 on the back of my 16 Jup and it sits fine. Difference is I have the gas tank at the front --- it helps A LOT to distribute the weight over the boat.

That Etec is super nice.... I wonder if there is all that much of a difference in price between it and a four stroke??? Curious...

Prices between the ETEC and the 4strokes are pretty close really. I think the biggest differences is just what dealership you quote being the biggest variance. But that is just my opinion.

A set of small trim tabs would fix and problems with rear weight in a second, and if your going to spring for an Etec, what's another $120. for a set of Smart tabs. Just saying!!

Good point... I hand not thought of those. Are those really worth having? I've never owned a boat that had them? Have you or anyone else had them installed on a 16 footer?



Here is a picture of the transom, showing that I didn't clean off all the scum last fall that well. It's kinda hard to see but you can see where it's about 1/2 way from the splashwell drain to say the rivets on for the transom support... prolly more liek 60%ish up from the middle say.??? That is if you can understand what I'm typing.. yikes.

If you have any boat shows near you, they're a good place to get the best prices. Also you can walk back and forth between the dealers and dicker.

Meeeahhhh,, Bottom feeder special I'm not sure, but I did find out the dealership owners boat has a 50hr or so ETEC 90HP that he tossed out a price on that sure has me chomping at the bit.... Ought to know what the story is by the weekend.

The 850 is sold already... I do have parts motor if you are looking for some spare parts? LU? Carbs? coil? The distributor is broken so, so let me know I'll be looking to free up that space soon! PM ME!
