Some boat progress. I got some gel coat on the inner transom. Also working on a fiberglass strip to back up all the holes in the sides of the cap. A tropical storm may slow me down the next day or so.
I finished the grinding on the underside of the cap. Installed the transom eyes and drain tube. Also test fit and disassembled the transom outdrive assembly.
I would be glad to help gelcoat. Who is paying for travel, lodging, food, daily wage and bourbon ? Just keep at it Duratec every coat, 220, 320, 400, 600, 800, 1000. Aqua buff 1000, 2000, wax.
So I was supposed to be working on my boat today but... I found this little gem on Facebook marketplace. So I had to make a run down and pull it out of a field. 1967 futura super sport v- 150 Glastron. I can't I just can't say no to a 60's Glastron
I cut out some larger access to the rear of the boat. I also finished glassing in the upper part of the transom. Things were going great until the hundred degree heat chased me inside.
Got up and get out working by 7. Got too hot by 9:45 but got a few things done. All the old holes in the hull ground out ready for fiberglass. Continue scraping old gelcoat off the bow.
All holes in the hull patched with fiberglass . Hull sanded down. Shot a coat of gel coat on the bow. Got a little wet with some rain but it was well cured before that happened.
