Sorry to hear the news bud, you did the right thing for your family I'm sure.

Good thing you did such a nice job on the Jet, hope you were fairly compensated.

Something worth doing is worth doing twice right? This boat looks eerily familiar to the one you just sold(before you fixed it).

Thanks guys. It's all good really. The real hard part was just watching that fella head on down my drive and pull away with the Jet hooked to his truck instead of mine.

Like a couple of you guys mentioned, it was the right thing to do. Fun? Um, no. Yah, the fun thing to do and the right thing to do are not always the same, eh?

I was thinking I could grab a utility boat with what is left over for river fishing here in a few weeks, but maybe not now that I have stewed about it. If I could find a ridiculous bottom feeder deal ok, but I'm not going to work too hard at trying to find one right now.

I think I ought to just focus my efforts on the Islander from here on and skip the spring walleye run all together. Or, I'm sure I could jump into one of my buddies boats a couple of times this spring, no biggie.

Yah ok, lets just do that

it's been awhile since i have been on, and then i read you lost out to the IRS.... as many before me have said, it stinks but you have to do what you have to do.

but that just means you will have another project for this upcoming winter since the Islander will be done by the end of the month right?

Just catching up on everyone's thread and noticed you sold the jet I completely understand as I had to sell my Chieftain for financial reasons last year as well. Hopefully a free one will find your way again sometime soon

Sorry for your loss Bud. You got some great experience from that boat though. IRS can't take that from ya. One day the Offshore will be done and we'll fish the Detroit River, or St. Clair. Best walleye in the USA.

Yah, the SmokerCraft was a little bit of a stretch to be a "replacement" for the Jet. More like "in the interim" or "in between" Short lived she was

i have gone through this whole thread and have A LOT of inspiration on doing mine from it. This boat you rebuilt is just awesome and u did it the correct way nicely. Who ever it is that bought your jet star off you man is one set guy on a good boat
