You're safe!!!! I always like to reinforce the 2-3 Final coats needed when using the Old Timers Recipe. The Thinned BLO and Varnish/Urethane seals the Inner parts and the Full Coats help seal the outer and provide a bit of protective coating as well as UV resistance.

To all the GREAT FATHERS here on iBoats...Spend time with your kids today. Time with family becomes a precious commodity the older we get. Wind is UP in OK today so we're swimming and cooking out. Gunna try another Splash of the BF one evening this coming week.

Aren't kids supposed to spend time with their Fathers, not the other way around?

To all the Pops, Happy Papa Day guys, and gals (it's 2018).

OMG!!! I was surfing the Net this morning and for Grins I asked for 1957 Crosby boat for sale. This is the very first boat I ever rebuilt and where I got my iboats name. The 57 Crosby had a Fiberglass hull with a wood cap an Mahogany wood seats. My best friend and I were Juniors in College and restored it for his uncle in 1969 for or Woodshop project. Sure wish I had some pics but. If this one is still available, I just might have to drag it home. The Admiral will put up a big fuss so we'll have to see who wins. This would truly be a labor or love. With my bad back just don't know if I'm up to it.

I have no way of knowing. We were two dumb kids trying to get a boat fixed for some summer fun. Didn't keep any records or anything and his uncle has passes on. One thing for sure. I remember what we did and how she looked and IF I'm lucky enuf to get her, She'll be the spittin image (well maybe a bit better since I've learned a lot since then) of what she was. We'll have to wait and see. If my Son buys in and says he'll help...I may be a No Brainer IF she's still available.

That's a really sweet boat wood, good luck I hope you get it. If I weren't 900 miles away I'd volunteer my time and be a gofer just so I can say I worked with one of the greats.
