ha ha all the way to the bucket. When I was a boy working with my dad and family at our bar/restaurant we always had the green beer. I always was the PORTER in my younger days cleaning up the GREEN mess after too too many. Just looking at it makes me laugh at the poor souls who imbibe that nasty green beer.

MeandJohn1.jpg

I treated JBCurt00 to some good ole' Oklahoma Joe's BBQ I think he liked it!!!
He bought a very KOOL 1957-8 FeatherCraft Racer In Texas and was on his way to Springfield, MO to look at a motor.
We had a great 6 hour visit!!! It's always a good day when I get to meet and visit with another iBoater!!!!

Thanks for stopping by John!!!!

No Title

Thanks for the hospitality and good visit. Mike, it was great to meet you and Glenda both. Good luck w the move. I have workshop envy. OK Joes BBQ was outstanding. FC and I are turned east at St Louis but sans motor. Guy was stuck on his firm $ and for barely a parts motor it wasnt worth his asking to me.... there will be others.....A 1957 Evinrude 35hp is in my sights, but its 7hrs north east of me. I clearly am not against driving  Teaser pix of the 1957/8 Feathercraft Rocket Runabout 1st one is the 57 brochure pix. Its 12ft 3in, rated for a 35hp, and 4 adults. Stringers are Z shaped beams that are quite beefy and plentiful. No transom knees though. Needs a good trailer. These pix are from the seller. Borrowed my fishing boats trailer for the trip.

Great find jb! My mouth is watering. All the more while waiting for some spring weather here in the NE! Used motors are like used cars, if something about it doesn't suit you, there's always another one out there. The boat's a beauty.

Yep, white bathing suit as well. I'm sure it'd be very becoming on my 51yr old frame.. if I could find the mother of pearl and gold horn rimmed glasses I'd probably wear them too....

No progress on motor. We bought a House in Guthrie OK 2 weeks ago sooooo We're scrambling to get our home ON THE MARKET. Hope to get it sold and us moved before the 4th of July. My new house is 3 miles from Lake Guthrie soooo, I'm hoping to get moved, and find some time to work on the BF. John and I pulled the cover to take a look at her and it appears the Drivers seat upholstery has been attacked.by a fungus or something. Has three Brown stripes on the white section. Passenger seat is fine. Weird!!!! If I DO get some time, I'm gunna pull the carbs and re-do them.

Congrats on the new house. Hope she has a nice boat house to work on the projects although I'm sure that was on the check list when you were shopping. Good luck Mike.
