That stern box looks great, you really have got me thinking now. Wish you would have done it before I bought all the pedestals and posts!

EZ,

Great work on the casting box. It looks like original equipment. Very nice work. Hopefully when you grow up you will be able to operate the boat!?! :p

Great job on the box and interior in general! I'm thinking about doing the same thing, but I'm not sure if the 16' would have enough room, or how I would get to my gas tank and such. Are your jump seats removable? Keep up the great work! :D

Great Job on the casting seat EZ. Mine has the sliding doors and a ski pole or might consider doing the same thing to mine. The before and after really show a great contrast and a lot of hard work!

Re: 18' Starcraft SuperSport restoration

i have one of those safegaurd biminis ez, works pretty well. ive run 25mph with it up and it makes quite a show of bouncing and what not, makes things sound funny water noise sort of echos under it does make it easier to talk underway without yelling.

im planning to go to struts in the back instead of straps this year hopefully it will be more stable, i also switched to bolts and nuts on the mounting hardware from the supplied screws as things were starting to not stay tight.

seeing these starcraft guys makes me want one, they have a timeless look.

That whole aft section area is really awesome. It came together beautifully. Great before and after pics. I love those.

I hear you on that. I decided to take off tomorrow (best weather day) to get some more things done on my big boat so I can hopefully get it in the water by the end of the month.

Hey EZ. Just wanted to say thanks for your info on my thread. I have been keeping up with your thread and must say " Your work is amazing and your SS is Outstanding". You took a 35 yr old boat and made it look like it just came of the show room floor.

Thanks Decker, I appreciate the compliment. However, if you saw the current state of my paint job you'd cry. Suffice it to say, a great deal of effort was wasted . I'm trying to be OK with it. :( So I'm working on getting the interior just how I want it and then perhaps we'll re-address the exterior.

Great Job EZ! Love what you have done with your boat. How far does that deck come out from the splashwell? I am in the infant stages of restoring a 21' CC and am thinking of different configurations for seating. Your way looks like a great storage idea as well as closing in the stern instead of cabinets/curtains. Function and style both there. My hat goes off to you.
