Ha! Thanks guys! I just got back to the office....need to get my but to work! We went to lake Draper....unknown to me, they have the water level way down....must be working on something. Anyhow it was closed. So then we drove south to Thunderbird (or thunderchicken as I call it). I really didn't want to go there because it was closed for a while....junk from the tornado in it. Anyhow the water was flat....84 or so....I had a little bit of a time starting Max. Finally figured out he likes a little throttle at start up. Then I figured out I put the steering arm in the wrong hole. Slid that over and we were good to go. With 3 guys in her (almost 600#s) she trimmed out at 50! Think I will drop to a 17 on the prop and see how she does. I never got her to WOT RPM. I have some video, I'll post tonight...have to get to work!

Just about the time we were heading back to the ramp, we took care of the newness....just below the surface was a piece of plywood from a roof.....I backed off the throttle but it was too late... Max has a couple scratches and Miss Morgan has a minor one on the bottom of the keel. Other than that no damage (plywood didn't fare so well). Oh well it was going to happen sooner or later.

She looks great Arch! Glad you finally got to splash her. Too bad about the scratches but as you said it was going to happen sooner or later.

Awesome. To bad about the damage though. She sits nice in the water. There is barely a wake behind you...nice.

Could have been a log I've seem more than one of them. You really can't see Miss Morgan's scratch unless you are almost laying under the trailer...and its only in the clear, not the color coat.....Honestly I was surprised at how little it hurt the paint. The plywood was almost broke in half.....I think Max's scratches will buff out.

Arch she looks really good in the water, and I can't wait to see a video of this. That does suck about the couple of scratches she got, but it can always be fixed. Now before you took her on her maiden voyage you broke the wine (grape juice) bottle on her didn't you? It's bad lock if you don't.

Ha! That tower of power is standing tall! I love a good transom shot......
I'm impressed that it did 50mph with 600lbs. 50mph on the water is really fast to me. How did it feel at that speed? Did the boat turn well or feel squirrely, or try to chine walk?
It truly is a beautiful boat, with the perfect motor on it.
I'm still wanting to see a finished photo with it sitting in the water. The motor really looks like a jewel on the back of it.

JB she is a hot rod...Bruce Nescher / Sleekcraft knew what they were doing, you steer her where you want to go, and she goes there. Very stable, no porpoising, sliding around, chine walking etc. Its almost like being on a motor cycle. I was conservative....but the hull did awesome! Max did great too...at 35 or 40 you can bump the throttle and everyone's heads snaps. That really surprised me with 600#'s of guys in the boat. I can't wait to get her out by myself on a flat lake!
