    I can see if the holes are centered on the transon, making sure the motor Is centered horizontaly, just pulled the old motor. Im waiting on lift plates, How would I know if the motor is not on the boat vertically, not leaning to one side a fraction of an inch?

    I bought a c ouple of 96 johnson 200. They are 25 in. My boat is 20 in. I have found lift plates to raise it 5 inches, that are rated for 225. They look like 12 aluminum angle iron. Jas any one ever used them? I have seen manual jack plates, are they necessary?

    Seastar hydrolic steering testing

    I tested the pump with the lines disconnected using a 1/4 valve and gauge on each hose, i could see it moving pressure from one line to the other... It's a bad plunger... thank for responding.
