    i look boat stuff all the time and i was checking this out. in the 1 photo it shows instructions on running and think it is saying to adjust the timing and turn the flywheel the other way? is that how it works:confused:

    backwards battery let the smoke out

    today i did a stupid thing and hooked my battery up wrong on my 94 15hp evinrude.:doh: smoke came out and i switched it back. the motor starts and runs, but is not charging the battery. i'm guessing the smoke came from the rectifier:confused:
