ive replaced the shift cable 4 times now works fine on land ,but once in the water it binds up and breaks the cable, its a 93 omc cobra outdrive, have replaced the shift box also

I have a 93cobra outdrive v6 the gears tore up on me can some tell me if having a holley double pumper carb on it had something to do with it was it too much power for the gears and can I run v8 gears with my v6 motor
