hello heres my probelm at 3500 rpm im only getting 7knts and starts vibration heres the drive plan 1973 25ft trojan,351 ford inmar engine,velvet drive 1:1 ratio, 13x10 prop transmission doesnt seem to be slipping just bought the boat Thanks
Next time you at your boat,pull the oil dip stick on the velvet drive and smell the oil.Also,check the oil level.If thats all fine,does the boat stay in the water all the time?If it does,chances are you have a very dirty bottom.<br />At 3500rpm's,your boat should be doing around 18 to 20 knots!
Thanks prockvoan the bottom is clean, trans oil seems clean and not burnt, pulled the prop off going to send it out noticed cup is worn off but i dont think that should cause that much power loss should i pull the trans out and have that checked too Thanks
