    the same no... physically yes the description fits so the reg. shouuld fit. 80 commens at 4.5 seems good. few bad ones but they could have been bad installations. most users seemed happy it is a suggestion ..up to you or if worried go OEM.

    not familiar with what you have but can you not just remove the throttle (unbolt it) and realign it vertical center

    or did you misaligned some splines when reassembling.. presumably you did not touch the cables at the engine side so the misalignment should be up front when you put things back together no ???

    compression PSI is internal to the cyld's with ports closed off ... nothing to do with crank seals or L.U... has indicated worn out or bad meter ? .... just run it with a good dose of engine cleaner see what happens.

    i fit sucked out the gas from the primer bulb ... no new gas was entering from the tank...try a different tank, clean the pick tube/filter or change the hose on trial (borrow one if need be)

    yellow-red on selenoid small post is the wire that activates the solenoid...when the neutral switch is closed ..when throttle is in NEUTRAL. when that condition is met and the key is put on START the solenoid will get the starter motor to run. Seems to work ok since you have generated...

    Matt... much to harsh on the 70,s 6hp ... lovely machines with TLC they run forever ! All that saltwater is killing your oldies but up here in the great North with all that fresh water those 6hp last foreever :-) but we don't catch 40-50 pounders much .

    go on the lake get heengine at operating temp. run full throttle and lean out CW till it starts to sputter then enrich CCW till it sputters go mid point slightly richer than leaner GO idle and do the same. remove the knobs ONLY do not turn needles ... center the knob pointers...

    no expert on CDI stuff but new coils and power pack should solve the problem. just make certain all connections are clean. you could try and compare things like ohms from the secondary HV plug boot to engine frame and coil primaries to see if they spec out ok and identical . is they are...

    thanks for feedback.. you likely meant the air vent needed to balance the air volume in the carb. nonetheless it is fixed. good find! :-) those carbs get their vacum from the crankcase
