Having a heck of a time putting the water pump assembly back together. When all tightened down; I cannot budge the drive shaft to turn by hand. The specs don’t show any gaskets between wear plate and pump housing and seems extremely hard to turn…any insight ??? Model 5518

Shock absorber below the pump is broken or expanded.

Well now that makes complete sense. Got a new one on order. Thank you very much. This rebuild is an ongoing battle!
