    1968 StarCraft Holiday restoration

Thanks. Only 2 years behind schedule 🤣. I have my eye out for one of these now. I'm guessing it will be a while before I find one though. Just love the lines on this boat. These tin boats sure do get in your blood.

Custom speaker enclosures finished. These took a pretty good amount of work to figure out. they were designed in CAD and am happy to share with anyone in the group if interested. They are sized at 2 cu.ft. each which was what my 10" JL's called for. Turned out really well and fit like a glove.

    1980 Holiday 181

I went way overboard with mine, I remembered from my last boat that you need a lot more watts and speakers to get the same sound in a boat and I was worried I would not have enough. I'm running a JL media master head unit, (2) 6.5" JL speakers in the front, (2) 8" JL speakers about half way down...

    1980 Holiday 181

I put a pretty good sound system in mine as well. I was really worried that with all that aluminum all I would hear was metal buzzing. Man was I wrong, it sounds so good on the water.

    198x SS-150 rebuild

I second this, there is a big difference between the air chisel guns and real rivet guns

others may have stated this already but it would be a good idea to add some chine braces since you are in there doing rivet work. Here is a pic of when I did mine.

    1968 StarCraft Holiday restoration

The guy I found to do it did a great job. he actually layered 3 different vinyl cutouts together to mimic the original design. probably hard to see from far away.

    1968 StarCraft Holiday restoration

I ended up going with vinylapproach. The guy worked up a proof very quick and I had the stickers within 3 days. He specializes in vintage boat decals. haven't put them on yet but really happy with them so far. was about 45$ shipped for all 4 stickers which I thought was reasonable.

The trailer is actually very solid. If I don't find a better candidate soon I think it will work great. would like for it to look like a custom fitted trailer when finished.
