Towing 18 foot StarCraft.

Would a 3rd generation Ford Ranger (1998-2011) with a 3.0l V6 tow a 1967 18 foot aluminum StarCraft safely.
The boat has a 75hp Suzuki.
My searching I've come up with everything with trailer is still under 2500lbs.
Just looking to see if any tow with their Tacoma or Ranger.

Got a chance at a couple nice 17' fiberglass bass boats w/ 150hp motors but don't think I have enough truck to pull them. Been pulling around the last couple years a 16' SeaArk aluminum boat Evinrude 40hp with a Ford Ranger 4.0 engine. It's done good with this boat but not sure about these...

I cant speak for the Rangers but its easy to forget its back there with my Tacoma. These things are so light.

With a standard set up 18'r and a 75 hp motor it should remain very light being under the Ranger's towing capacity.

My 18'r is a different story with a 115 hp, double decking, 4 batteries, livewell, 24 gal belly tank and a 24v TM that weighs 90 Lbs.

I am with the others. Not sure what your Ranger can tell but it’s gotta be at least 3500 pounds? In that case you have tons of reserve. Or tons left for cargo I figure that my 16 footer with a 70 horse OMC, 2-3 tanks and kicker on the back, 3 batteries and a front troller are not even tripping out at over 2500 trailer included.
