There are sure fired ways to make it rain, or stop it from raining. If you want it to rain, apply weed killer. If you want it to stop raining, apply fertilizer or seed... About the same with washing and waxing a vehicle also...

    Quit My Job . . .

I worked for well over 40 years. 38 of those years was in black box repair and redesign and than computer programing and new circuit design. So I honestly loved my jobs. But when I realized I was actually making less than minimum wage at that time, when compared to work verses retirement, I...

Fiberglass storage .... Shelf life ?

If it did get wet and mold was allowed to form, that would be the only issue I would think could make it useless. Otherwise, I don't see much of anything that could effect it other than oil or some type solvent soaking. Dry, buy!

    Vintage Horn Repair

I can't tell from the pictures, so is this horn electrical or air driven? If electrical, shouldn't be hard to see how the relay works to allow voltage to the horn itself. But if that is a solenoid valve and not a relay that operates the horn, then you have to have some type compressed air...

    Solving inaccurate tachs?

Do you own a tach meter that is stand alone? I mean like an old tach/dwell meter we all used to use tuning are hot rods. You could attach that and see how close the two reading are. Even a cheap "Tiny Tach" that clips on a spark plug lead will show the RPMs. As far as the fuel gauge bouncing...

I can remember back in my teens (WOW that was a long, long time ago) how I used to look at older folks and think to myself, I am never going to let myself go like that when I get older. Surprise, surprise, no one lets themselves get like that. It happens all by itself. A lesson young people just...

    Carburetor paint

Unless you paint or, finish it with a finish that is impervious to oil and gas, the finish won't stay on very long anyway. I painted my carb on my 76 Johnson 40 HP rebuild but I used catalyzed automotive finishes when I did it. So it is the same type paint that vehicles have and oils and gas...

    Carburetor paint

There are a lot of options to consider. First you can use most any quality type paint, but I would go for a catalyzed paint. Automotive paints with hardeners works great. Than you also have powder coating powders in any color you can imagine, that would actually go great on a carb. And than you...
