    Not true at all. Mercosil can be bored by a competent shop. And rebuild kits are readily available.l.

    Take the hood off and To the right of the carb is the shifting linkage. When you drop the lower make sure the washer comes off with the shift rod.

    2003 should be a blind bore Mercosil block. No head on that.

    On the side of the block are 4 covers on the intake side and 2 on the exhaust. Remove the CDI box and find the covers there. If there is damage it will be on the exhaust side. I would once again question the gage. Every 4.3 I have had is between 160-190 and should be at the higher end.

    How do you know I am wrong? Somebody had to answer his question. Jeez telling him to get trolling plates and props when he doesn't even have a motor? He asked for a recommendation on a motor. Somebody had to answer it.

    Any of the newer small 4 strks will do what you want. Find a dealer close to.you with a good reputation. Another Yamaha 5 hp and under would be an excellent choice.

    Get a different gauge. Highly doubtful it would run much less pull a skier with 60 psi. I would be looking at the plastic bits.

    that tube was to provide warm air to the motor on cold days. without it the motor would have a stumble until it was warm
