    Nascar News Thread

That's exactly what they're hoping for with the new car. The underside is completely enclosed, those weird cut outs behind the front wheels, rear diffuser, and other air ducting is "supposed" to decrease the air packing on and under the nose.

    deer meat question

All great reply's. While we are not into real "gamey" meats, we really enjoy the breakfast sausage, burgers, and jerky. I have been super lucky as I don't hunt myself, but lot's of friends and relatives keep us stocked. My BIL makes jerky that could rival anything you can buy.

    New pistol for carry

I also have an LCP .380, that I carry the most with P ammo. It's so easy to carry with the size and all. My other carry (colder months, easier to conceal) is my Kimber Ultra Carry II. Awesome gun and .45 hollow points have all the stopping power . My favorite shooting pistol of everything I've...

    Nascar News Thread

While I'm all for the new car, and think it's pretty awesome... I'm also thinking we might be moving a little too far into sports car-type territory. The one lug 18" Aluminum wheels are very interesting and will allow a much larger brake package, something they need with the addition of all the...

    Nascar News Thread

I really enjoyed the multi-car qualifying. It helped build the excitement for the weekend. I understand why they had to stop it once the teams started playing games on pit road. I wish they could bring that back, was fun to watch. At least they will be qualifying. When they went to finishing...

    Daily Driver

I feel your pain. I'm usually good for a windshield a year in my work truck. Now that the cinder trucks are out I'm probably due....

    Need a Winter Project.

So....what kind of projects do y'all have going on besides boats ? I just finished a kitchen remodel, so I'm looking for some inspiration for the long NY winter. I'm kicking around building a new 383 for the Larson. I put a "new" rebuilt 350 in it this spring when I finished the rebuild, but...

1996 Century Boats 1800 Center Console Refit and Modernization

So that EVA flooring. Looks great, I'm thinking of that for mine. Did it not come with an adhesive backing ? I see you're using spray adhesive. Where did you get the EVA /brand ? Lot's of it pops up on Amazon, I'm worried about quality etc.

Need gas cap for 1994 Larson SEI 174

Don't know if this will help. Everything bolted onto my 1990 Larson was supplied by seachoice. Maybe yours is the same. Took some digging, but I found mine on Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00WFJ2Q7Y/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Alpha 1 Gen 2 Weak Link

Curious as to "why". Wouldn't it be easier at that point to just swap to a Bravo drive ? Is there some efficiency or lower parasitic loss the Alpha provides ? Just wondering, seems like a lot of $$ on custom parts.

    Restoring a 1990 Larson

Haven't been on here much as we've been doing a lot of camping and boating at places with no cell service :) Quick update on the Boat. It has been running flawlessly ! After 4 outings I changed the oil and filter, lashed the valves (as required by rebuilder), adjusted the shift plate, added...

    1986 Mercruiser V-8 5.7L - overheating issue??

On the gasket leak. I'm unsure, but are the bolt holes for the thermostat housing in the intake manifold blind or drilled through? Because if they are through, that gasket you show in the second picture has a path for coolant to flow right out of.

1986 mercruiser shift cutout (interrupter) switch problem

Where did you source the switch? Sounds like you have a NC (normally closed ) switch. It should be a NO (normally open) switch.

Another Alpha Shift Adjustment / Controls Question

OK, I've searched. Forgive me if this has been covered before. I have a 19' Larson with a 5.7, Alpha 1 Gen II 1.5 ratio drive. Everything is either brand new or refurbished when I put it together. Has new lower shift cable (aftermarket) Quicksilver Controls, original to boat. OK, so I...

1995 Larson 214 LXI... Floor and stringers

Awesome! Now that you've had a couple years on that pad / flooring adhered to the swim deck, how's it holding up ? Adhesive sticking well in the sun ? When I rebuilt my Larson I gel coated my floor white, but I'm considering adding this type of foam flooring as I really like the look.

1987 Power Play XLT-185 - floors, stringers, and upholstery

Personally I would. I did because mine was so oxidized and faded it would have been obvious where I didn't sand. So, in my case I had everything off even the snaps for the covers.
