    Cracked Engine Pod Mount

in that case it looks like an age fatigue issue, which suck. I'd still use a transom saver after fixing. I was surprised at how much bounce I saw on mine without a saver.

Water test on 115 HO etec

I'll go out on a limb and just say HP is HP.... 1960, 1980, 2007, 2019...doesn't matter. Then I'd say what is the rpm @ WOT. If you tune for more than rated HP, you change parameters but the bottom line #'s are what count for propping purposes. See what the 15p does , go from there.

    Cracked Engine Pod Mount

couple of questions. Is the motor original with the boat? How big is it. How old is the boat. Do you trailer it often or regularly? If so, do you use a transom saver.

    Top speed

well, right out'a the box, there should be no water in any toon...period. First and foremost, you have to find that leak. Most common areas to leak are at the toon section seams, and the brackets attaching the toon to the deck.....I've had both. I don't have a center toon so there may be...

ok....noted. Any seconds on this from others? Salt trails mean anything? There is "spidering" evident in the transom hull paint... This boat has not sold since spring......more flags ?

yep...I wondered what that was.....what does it mean? and bravoitis?....They made it very clear that both manifolds had been replaced...and they were, I could see that...my common sense says, ok,but, only 300 hrs? like I said I am not outdrive knowledgeable.... That "caulking" isn't on the other...

that's what it appears to be....but I'm relying on "old salts" on here as to what they think. I'm not experienced on outdrive issues, signs, or symptoms..

The outdrive is a bravo 3, on an '06 sea ray. supposedly 300 hrs. Not many pics, I know but couldn't see any other areas to question. engine (5.0) compartment is very clean, well maintained....there are no grease, rust or oil stains. So , see anything ? good/bad.

    Fine tuning performance

yeah, I can relate and have a story, but just briefly.....I learned that 1.5 inches can make all the difference in the world concerning ventilating. Initially with my new motor, I couldn't trim up without ventilating. Luckily the motor had one more lower bolt hole , about 1.5 inches, to go...

    Fine tuning performance

some mis-communication. I don't know if you're ventilating, I said if. Someone else said you were. Sorry, I mis-read. The 14x9 got you in the upper rpm range. That may be it for you. Sure, raise the motor, see what you get. Raise it, run the 14x9. Then run the 14x11. I understand bigger cases...

    Fine tuning performance

Is that boat a tri-toon?... A 2 inch pitch change should have upped rpm's to about 5600-5700 +/- , not a 1000 rpm increase, so something isn't right. If you're ventilating, raising the motor will not help, it'll make it worse. Actually, you might need to lower it. You kinda made the mistake of...

    Prop help-1993 Mariner 30ELO on a 16' toon

Since you already have the props, sure, it's as a legitimate starting point as any. Understand that the 9p prop .....the diameters of both are practically equal.....is going to give you around an 800 rpm difference higher at WOT. You want to keep WOT rpm's around 5500. Basic rule is 200+/- rpm...
