well....dreaded boat damage victim...need expertise answers

I am retired. There'll be no lawyers. I want to hear opinions and thankyou , but now I have to wait for the marina. Supposedly there is/was a pontoon specialist on here. He last posted in 2019. I pm'd him but no response...

well....dreaded boat damage victim...need expertise answers

once again, this is solely on the marina. I notified my insurer which is fine. I just have liability ( which I knew) so there is no ability to make a claim....so that is all mute. Went to a boat dealer, where I bought my motor, and showed them the damage just to see what they'd say. They said a...

Oh, they said for me to open a claim with my insurance Co.. Then they're Ins. will contact my Ins. and but they're ins. is gonna pay. I don't see WHY I have to do that.. You can tell I have not been involved in accidents my entire life.. I didn't argue.......or get mad.......yet...what good...

well....dreaded boat damage victim...need expertise answers

The marina crushed the middle of the last section of my pontoons. They were blocking it up in prepping for painting. I thought they knew what they were doing. I'm so mad I'm actually numbingly calm. Backstory, just for perspective. New 2021 115 hp motor. All upholstery custom replaced and...

    Info request 2019 8522LZ Pontoon

I have an '06 24', twin 25" tubes, 115 hp merc. CT., suncruiser pontoon. so: with just me on board I get around 26 mph, pushing a little over 6000rpm on a chilly, cold water early spring day. More speed needs more hp, but... There is a placard on the boat that states max hp. I did not exceed...

Adding Distilled water to battery. what qualifies as distilled?

rain is evaporated water that condenses in the air, forms up as drops and when heavy enough falls as rain...(sleet, snow, etc.) So initially, it's almost as pure as distilled. But the problem is the air is not pure. So as the droplets form into clouds and then fall as rain, they collect these...

    Drainage of the pontoon

I used my shop vac exhaust with duct taped smaller hose to inject air into my pontoon to find the two leaks I've had in the past few years. I don't think a shop vac can generate enough psi to hurt the toon, plus the vinyl hose was a loose fit in the plug hole. My plugs are on top. The one leak...

    good morning :)

I have a 24' 2006 pontoon boat. Purchased around 2017. Probably the most consistent maintenance issue is/was keeping the seats and carpet clean and mildew free through the operating season. I say was because I just had all the upholstery redone with top grade marine vinyl and a new custom cover...

    "Flat" pontoons

I'd want to see a picture. You can't necessarily tell if a pontoon has a leak just because someone says it looks and floats ok. It needs to be checked. If its's not leaking, handling is gonna be a wait and see kinda thing. Since I've never driven a pontoon with that kinda damage, your guess is...

    opinions...snake oil ?or legit.?

thanks.... and did some googling myself. A couple of boat magazine tests....And found a long thread on some other forum.....basically inconclusive considering all I read. Was just curious if anyone on here could say specifically. looks like no.

    opinions...snake oil ?or legit.?

Anyone heard of this? Just saw it now. So the thought hits me that instead of getting ny 'toons painted for this up coming season, ($$)...why not try this instead. Since I'd be operating in the upper chesapeake, it's brackish but minimal,

this might be something you could use. I use'd them for my double bimini top and enclosure, due to canvas shrinking the last 17 years.

I said "I think"....and then I said "do research" furthermore, any specific info or statements on "flexing " came specifically from this site and people that are on it....not from any knowledge of mine. So here:.... and...
