trim tilt motor 1986 125hp Force

Converting over to a 2 wire: I believe you need to ground the cap where the cap has the wires . I think?? If you use a 3 position switch for the newer motor you need to run a hot lead to the center pole. The newer motor is grounded through the body( I think).

1990 Force 120HP trim and tilt not keeping motor up no leaks

One of my customers said he had a bin of Chrysler/Force parts. Asked if I wanted them. $45 talked him down to 25$ They don't sell the nipple fitting alone. Where do you live? Look around at the local salvage yards and you might get lucky?

    Force 70 Leak?

Nordin if you watched the movies?? you would have seen it peeeing!! That amount does seem excessive?? The water tube from the pump to the spacer plate has rubber grommets. the top one might have dropped out? Like the guys suggested drop the lower and check. Change the impeller, just in case.

yuky"s!!! now the fun starts. Remove the sender, raise the nose of the boat as fare as it will go, run a hose to the bottom edge of the tank. Then siphon all the nasty's out. Checking periodically to see if you get the bad stuff and when the good gas flows add dry gas 5-6 cans. Then use a water...

I had a bunch of Force outboards, I NEVER bought a new starter in 30 years. Always rebuilt them. How ever I did buy the expensive rebuild kits from Mercury.

1998 Force 120 Stalls out in Low Gear

Mercury uses a 5/16" hose and older Force used 1/4" If your going to pull the pickup?? Be very CAREFUL as those fittings aren't meant to come out easily and can be damaged. The best way to check the pickup is to empty the tank and then remove the sending unit and then you can see inside the...

1990 Force 120HP trim and tilt not keeping motor up no leaks

If it only does it when you prime the system?? Not sure I'd worry too much about it. When you squeeze the ball your putting the system under a lot of pressure. The fuel pump is a real low pressure system 2-4# (if that?). Make sure the screw/screws holding the bowl on are tight.

Chrysler 55 one cylinder occasionally fires

The following is my opinion: Seafoam is a waste of $$$ Get a can of spray cleaner and use it to clean the carb. I bought a can of SF tried to use it to clean the carbon from the piston I had setting around. DID NOTHING!!

1990 Force 120HP trim and tilt not keeping motor up no leaks

The "robber" seal is for a different motor. :) The kit covers a bunch of motors, it might cover 20-50 different ones. That rubber seal fits a Mercury motor.

1998 Force 120 Stalls out in Low Gear

Temp/overheat-gauges or alarms? The thing about a gauge is you don't watch them all the time, if you do? Myself, I'd get seasick. Fix is a louder horn, car or motorcycle horn and put where you can see/hear them. A pressure gauge just tells you it's pumping but won't say anything if it quits...
