    1982 starcraft v220 mariner v5 potential rebuild

Might be a 1983 as well. I couldn't find a 220V in the '82 catalog, but they had one in the '83: https://starcraftmarine.com/sites/default/files/catalogs/StarCraftAluminumRunabouts1983_web.pdf

    1982 starcraft v220 mariner v5 potential rebuild

She's a big girl! I'm envious! Galvanized dual axle trailer too! My assumption is after removing the deck you will find yourself with some saturated spray in foam. I'd yank it all out, give it a good cleaning, and assess all the rivets. You may find corrosion/pitting inside the hull where the...

What is the Starcraft Islander Freeboard height??

    Largest outboard starcraft

https://starcraftmarine.com/resources/legacy-catalogs select the year, hit apply, click on the catalog. Outboard and I/O available in many of the 22' models in the mid to late 70's. Didn't dig too much deeper, but yes, SS, Holiday, Islander, Chieftain, Mariner...quite a few options in an...

    Largest outboard starcraft

Forgot about the Holiday as well, they had a 22' outboard model availbale. I know they made a 22' SS V5 outboard, but not 100% sure there was a non-V5 outboard available in the 22'. I know the Chieftain could be had in a 22' outboard, and only the later model Islander (late 80's on)with the...

    Largest outboard starcraft

Several options really. They mad the Mariner(MR models) in 18', 21', and 22'. The Supersport(SS) in 18' and 22', Islander and Chieftain in a few different flavors from 18'-26'. Most models had the outboard option, with the exception of the earlier Islanders which I believe were all I/O, although...

    I'm back with a 1994 Islander 221V!

For cheap insurance, you could just cut a couple of 2x6, 4x4, or whatever your flavor is to use as vertical braces on either side of the motor while hoisting. Just wedge them into place during the lift and remove when completed. Should at least give you an idea of whether you need to add...

    New Journey

The joys of a center console... Finally got all my wires/cables pulled to the transom, and I can now finish up the splashwell installation. This MR180 model has all sorts of side panels and a unique splashweel configuration that requires some planning to reduce the amount of effort needed to run...

    New Journey

Making small progress. Took advantage of the unseasonable weather we are having here in MN and pulled the boat out of the hangar(garage) to get the new fenders all mocked up and mounted. One of the original fenders was all dented up and too far out of whack for me to want to attempt to...

    I'm back with a 1994 Islander 221V!

I installed a hoist in my garage as well, primarily for processing deer, but works great for mounting outboards as well. Didn't go to the extent of the rollers and trolley, but sure beats the 4x4s and ratchet straps across the joists I used to use. I do have storage trusses in my garage, so they...

    1986 Starcraft Mariner Trolling motor

I'm looking at 60" for my 18' MR180, and even questioning whether I need the 72". Personally, I'd opt to go longer. Calm water, the 47" will likely be fine, but when you're in some chop and the bow is bouncing up and down you may find the prop coming out of the water.

    New Journey

Just some updates... Been plugging away here and there as time allows. Got all the plumbing for the livewell and bilge all wrapped up and the center console secured in place. Steering installed(Seastar NFB 4.2 rotary) and cable ran, just waiting to feed it through the helm until I get all my...

Posted this is the steering forum as well, but is the gap between the bezel and steering wheel normal? Seastar rotary NFB, no play in the wheel.

    Seastar rotary NFB helm

New Seastar rotary helm and wheel. Is the gap between the bezel and wheel normal, or should they butt up together. Nut is snug tight and there is no play in the wheel.

    New Fuel Line Size

    Free Mercury Tower of Power

If you don't want it, I'll take it:) I could use the midsection with the newer tilt and trim. Honestly though, if you are mechanically inclined, I'd pick it up. If compression is good, you'd likely be able to get it running or could at least part it out. They might not be highly sought after...

    New Journey

Gunnels mocked up with some Folbe rod holders, Mate Series cup/rod holders, and Cisco tracks. Still plan to lay down another coat of paint with the Epifanes beads on the gunnel tops, so nothing is attached yet, nor has the trim been put back on. Swapped out the wooden side support/rod holders...

    New Journey

Got all the thru hull fittings secured and sealed with 3M5200, bilge pump and float switch mounted, livewell pump installed, and all livewell fittings installed and sealed in the center console as well. After a 7+ day cure, I'll get the Shields 149 hoses cut to length and attached. Will finish...

    New Journey

Got my flip/flop seat all finished up. Left the seat cushion unscrewed until I actually mount it in the boat so I can remove it if I need more room to secure it to the deck. This will house the 12 gallon tank and I may try to hinge the seat portion for easier access rather than just screw it in...
